Thread: Top 5 things that you want fixed
PSG stat shifting defintely.
Andallow the Power Conditioner and Energy Disruptor to be made by armorsmiths and not Master Artisan's. They have vehicles and I don't want to master it soI can put my skill pointselse where
Grambo1980 I like that idea of being able to design or put an emblem/ensignia on armor to represent where you came from.
I think I asked an Image Designer once to do something like that but asa Tattoo or something to show guild loyalty.
Anyways to the point, I think something like that would be cool cuz then you could tell what guild a person is from and not have to look to the right of there name.
Correct me if i am wrong but armor assimbly is supost to make better armor out of the hopper i have tested a +25 and i see no change to this. Please fix this
Armor experimentation is the biggest hurdle to me - I've been working towards Master Armorsmith since day 1 of the opening of the european servers (primo November), and it has been fun so far, but now that I'm actually beginning to make some sales, the rate of failure (or the almost as bad Good Success) is driving me insane. I still plan on making master (which has been slow because I hate grinding and mostly get my XP by filling custom orders) but if the failure rate is still as bad as a master armorsmith, I don't think I can keep the profession and still remain sane.
Just last night I was making some Advanced Mabari for two newbie characters and a pair of Ubese pants for a friend. I ended up with about 3 full suits of inferior Adv.Mabari and 4 pairs of inferior Ubese pants before I was done filling those orders. No wonder armor is expensive ![]()
So please fix this or at least tell me it will improve considerably when I finally make master...
fix RIS please.
some parts of the ris cant be worn by certain races
stats shift
1. a) Personal Shield Generators need to be fixed. The whole line is unstable to the point of useless. This means more than simply fixing stat shifting, it is also important for the generators to to have fixed resists, special resists and vulnerabilities. Right now it is totally random, which is stupid and makes putting them together a gamble.
1. b) The individualShield Generator Components cannot be experimented on, only the fully assembled Shield Generator. Is this on purpose?
2. Experimenting on Durability needs to have meaningful results. Currently, reducing encumbrance on armor is a waste of experimentation points.
3. More Colorful Armor. This doesn't mean adding more armor, it means making stuff like Chitin more colorful. Drab armor is no one's friend.
4. Reduce Focus On Composite. It is important to have the different armors in the game important for different reasons. Composite armor resists eclipse all other armors. This creates a demand solely for composite over any other armor type. I believe that means Composite is overpowered, and should be scaled back.
5. Factional armor. Overt Armorsmiths should be able to make and sell Rebel And Stormtrooper armor. That way we can make them more desirable to wear with experimenting and decent resources. One idea is to have the schematic cost Faction Points, andobtainable from an Imperial/Rebel Recruiter.
I have posted the following list as our Top 5. Once we have a response from the Devs it will be floated to the top of the forum, but until then continue to post other things you would like to see implemented in the future in this thread.
1. The RIS/Tantel/PSG stat shift issue- I have posted another thread specifically covering this topic. It is currently our number one issue.
2. The Armor Hole- yes, it still exists, although it is not as common as it used to be. It appears once every 10-50 hits, depending on what you are fighting. Some mobs (chuba's, for example) never seem to hit it, while others seem to hit it constantly.
3. New armor types- there is a very high demand for something new (besides the nearly impossible to create RIS). A leading contender is factional armor- this would go a long, long way to making the armorsmithing community very happy. There are several ways these could be implemented. Either make a basic component only purchasable with faction points or make the schematics purchasable with fairly high faction point costs.
4. Armor Review: There are several armor types that could do with a review. In particular, Padded and Chitin are highly underused and undesired armor types (Tantel also falls into this category, but mainly because of the stat shift issue). In addition, there are experimentation problems on various armor types. On some the special resists do not rise when experimented on, while on others the special resists rise if base resists or durability is experimented on.
5. The Critical Failure/Experimentation failure rate- Many, many people seem to complain that it's too high, and not just artisans. At some point in the future I will be posting a focus thread on this issue to see if we can develop some hard data. One important consideration, though- failure rates during experimentation are much, much higher than the graphical indicator shows. A zero or 5% failure rate will result in failures close to 20% of the time.
2 PSG (better and stat migration)
3 Redo all armors effectiveness and balance them
4 Faction armor price, effectiveness (doable by overt Armorsmiths)
5 RIS armor loot and AR2
... 6 Choice to slice enc or eff
Apart from the armor hole it's bad that apart top composite we have nothing else worthy to wear in PvP.
The only time I've had trouble with experimentation was on Adv. Mabari Segments. If I use anything *other* that 2 exp points at a time in the same line then I'm guaranteed a moderate success or crit fail. Literally. I tested over 100 segments experimenting all combos I could, from single exp points to 1 in 2 lines (total 2 used) to 8 used in a single field (moderate success all 5 times I tried that). But with 2 exp points in the same line my fail rate was maybe 1 in 20 and 17-18 of the other 19 tries were great successes.
I haven't tried this type of expereimentation on any other armor -- segment or piece. I'm still fairly new and don't have that many materials to be able to just blow them on tests like this.
My wish list:
1. stat shifts
2. armor hole
3. more armor types, especially for the low end armors.
4. redo composite to add more vulnerabilities. Give it acid or energy vuln, so that it's not the only armor seen in PvP.
5. Holy schnikes! *How* much hide is really necessary for Padded? And if it's really such an organic and light armor, why is the HAM cost so high? As it is, Kinetic Layered Ubese is superior (IMO, of course) to Padded.
---------------------
As an aside, I've been hit in the armor hole a time or 2 myself, but not that often. Enough that it's annoying, but not so much that it bothers me all that much. Only when tanking in a group vs relatively high-level mobs, and with many medics around to keep me healed, so I've never even been incapped as a result of it, but I still see it get popped every once in a while on Dant.
RIS isn't really a going concern for me anymore. I have the quest to make the schematic, but still haven't managed to get any of the loot drops needed for it, in spite of camping the Woolamander Palace with firends for a couple of days. Got some -7 encumbrance Kliknik segments from the Blue Leaf Temple next door while letting the Palace resapwn, but that's it, and no one really wants to buy Chitin anyway. Still, it's been fun, but I'm not actively pursuing it anymore. It would be nice if it was a *challenge* not a *chore* and it's become a chore, so I'm not going to worry about it anymore. If I see some of the Laboi stuff spawn I'll drop a harv on it so that I have some material for if I ever actually do get the stuff, but I'm not actively seeking it anymore.
1) I think the PSGs were a Dev joke on the wookies. Well no one is laughing. Make them actually work. I have 2 crates of PSG3s I've been olding onto for over a month till they actually work...
2) Make the creature dropped segments better than what I can make on my own.
3) Make PSGs work.
4) Get rid of RIS, it's a big tease. This is the first thing the devs did that didn't dissappoint me, but flat out made me angry.
5) Makes PSGs work.
