Woohoo, i get to stay being a wookie and not re-start my entire character while saying lots of bad words

LMAO @ MrFile!!!!

Having mastered Tailor and seeing what is (or isn't - rather!) available for Wookies, I can TOTALY understand what it must be like being a singled out wookie!!

Although as far as armour is concerned, I've always found it beind more of a hinderance than of any use to me, maybe its coz of being TKM, I don't know - but I seem to peform worse and get worn/knocked out a lot faster when wearing armour (it cost me 300000 on a composite armour set to discover this!!)

Is this just a TK thing, armour being useless and all that?

Gratz to wookiees! As a Trandoshan, I have felt the pain of being shot in the foot or the hand for ridiculous amounts of damage, I can't imagine how you guys were able to go so long with NOTHING on... so many naked wookiees...

Now if we can convince them to give Trandoshans gloves and boots specific to our race... I would settle for no resists as long as it was light armor... I was wearing full composite and got killed in one shot to the hand... ouchies

Oh yeah and PvE is as important to me as PvP, and I've seen wookies go into PvE and get ripped to pieces because mobs have to do ridiculous amounts of damage to compensate for everyone wearing full composite... I got hit for 600 damage in the chest while wearing composite in the Geo biolab... If a wookiee got hit... that would be like a million...

I am shocked..... to be honest, the first time i saw the picture I doubled checked my calender as I knew that April 1 was quickly approaching and then the sorrow hit when i found that it was still over a week away. I am sure the armor will be less effective than armor available to other species and will probably not cover al the body (ala Doshan) to make up for the fact that we have slightly higher ham (dont forget that some of our minimums are a little high like 650 str keeping us from having much higher stats than the normal player). And i do agree that there should not be armies of fully armored Wooks about in keeping with the "Star Warsiness" of the game. So i dont see this as tipping the scale at all, we will look like rag tag trick or treaters if we want to wear this armor that will only slightly increase our ability to pvp. Course I just realized that if I do go into pvp combat and suddenly don this armor my opponent may very well start to laugh uncrontollably hence rendering him/her completely useless (sort of like kd/dizzy)..... Wait thats it we all will now be wearing kd/dizzy/busy lmao armor.... maybe this is a little overpowering.... ok Ill join in the whine with the rest of the non-wooks... NO wookie armor, no wookie armor they will be overpowered.

I was just wondering, will the Wookiee Armour have the ability to vanish from your person after you pick it up from your house to head off to battle? Both my composite and Ubese suits are great and doing this, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get a reputation for turning up to battles in boxers.

Love the fact that new content is being added to the game, but personally I'd much rather the existing stuff was fixed first. Only reason I'm in this forum right now is cos I'm logged off waiting for my clothes to reappear on Corbantis...

I just dont get it man. How do you figure that the least effective pvp race will suddenly own by being encumbered by a little armor. How many times does it need to be said here that the slight HAM increse gives little or NO bonus to wooks now. Do your self a favor and create a new characterthen stay on the spacechip (never trvavel to a beginning planet). while on the spaceship you can migrate your stats instantly as many times as you want. Now play with those stats a little bit and you will then learn enough about MINIMUM and maximum stats to see that Wookies (and Doshans for that matter) gain little or no bonus from their "added" HAM. No matter how you armor him a doshan or wookie will NEVER have decent mind stats. OK so we can have a few extra (about 350) points in health.. you get hit by a commando doing 3000 points of damage with no armor and no resist and tell me exactly how beneficial that extra 350 points is compared to no extra points and ar1 with 70-80% resist) lets see... i get hit for 750 damage and you get hit for 150 damage in your comp armor.. so even if I had stuck my extra ham all in health (for example) I have 350 higher health but got hit for 600 more damage than "you"... we are not overpowered nor will we ever be. We may finally get "some" resists and maybe light armor (and not likely full body coverage). so maybe now we will only get hit for 600 dam instead of 750 and you get hit for 150... with the added ham i still loose by 150..

All im saying is that we will finally be able to at least compete in PVP but Im sure that there is no way we would "own" anything.

First of all as a Trandoshan i don't personally care about gloves or boots,i don't get hit in the foot or hand that often.Gloves would be doable, but no actual boots maybe just give us shin and ankle armor.

Anywho back to the right topic

First you wookies complain that you have no armor, Then you complain that it doesn't look good enough for you. I dolike the idea of wookie armor, and the art looks good as a starting point. They are trying to keep it natural for now, and i thought i heard that they may consider doing more for wookies later on. The gear on the Chewie as Snoova figure wouldn't be a bad next step

assuming that someone with any importance or connections to the developers looks at this board, offer more constructive opinions, those of you who said it was a joke (draw a better concept picture then :robottongue

I agree the armor is a tad bit unsightly. I actually kind of dig on the helmet and what they have over the arms/shoulders, but the chest plate and leggings are pretty god-awful. Beyond the fact that they are apparently made of wood, the armor design itself just doesnt seem to fit with wookiee culture too well. I just hope this isnt the armor we are going to see for Episode III for the wookiees.

WOOO finally wooks get something to put us back with everyone else in combat. The thing i don't get is why all the non-wooks are saying that we either should still get nothing or to put a cap on whatever resists there might be on the armor. And each one of them states it for the same reason, something along the lines of: We don't want everyone making wookiees and tearing everything up?

So basically, are you afraid of not having a race to pick on and beat easily in PvP? I don't understand how wookiees will be 'tearing it up' when all they are getting is what everyone else has had for months. If there is a cap on the resists, the wookiees will have more of a fighting chance but still at a disadvantage to everyone else. As far as the extra HAM..... take it, they don't even notice the effects.

When youfight a human TKM with full composite and 80% resists, nobody complains about the armor, but now you all are afraid of a wookiee with the same thing? what's the difference, a wookiee TKM hits just as hard as any other TKM. If you are so hard set against the armor, how about we scrap the armor idea and just give wookiees a +50 accuracy or damage bonus with weapons or make it so they can hit in melee for 5x more than than every other species. If i'm gonna be allowed to drop in battle faster than you, it's only fair that i get to really mess you up before i do.

The new Wookiee armor looks pathetic. It resembles the tincan man from the Wizard of Oz.

Here are some links on how Wookiee Armor that Chewbacca wears disguised as Snoova the Bounty Hunter (Snoova the Wookiee wears this armor himself as well) is supposed to look like:

Now this armor would look cool, not such a tincan thing to make Wookiees look like canned furballs. I hope the armor c

I don't get why all of you are so exited, the only good armor in the game is composite because it has practically no weaknesses, unless the wookiee armor is just as much of an ultimate uber armor there is really no point in wearing one.

Now that wookiees get armor are we gonna A) lower the encumbrence on every other kind of armor for the rest of the races in the game or B) give all races the EXACT same number of pool points to spend?

Secondly I dearly hope that this will be a wookiee craftable armor only, much like the bowcaster is a wookiee craftable weapon only. I have seen several wookiee weaponsmiths in game and have never (aside from hologrinders) seen a wookiee armoursmith. This would be in line with the tone that has been set for the game and would help bring more wookiees into the armoursmithing profession.

Now that wookiees have their own armour can we expect to see Twinkie errrrm Twi'lek armor, Zab armor, etc.. Ithink it flies in the face of balance to give one race something special while all the other races are left out in the cold.
