Sharnaff plates:
action encumbrance: 6
mind encumbrance: 5
heat, cold: 3%
acid: 2%
I have only been able to get segments and enhancers off the sharnaff bulls so far.

This is an awesome post, I was wondering about the specific wackiness of experimenting. It also gave me a bit of info on the general armorsmith things.
About RIS, I saw that someone posted something about it having a medium armor rating. Is that true? Someone ( I think it was Jaato) also said that they all had light armor ratings, which all of the regular non-quest schematic types do.
Who's right?
Check the screenshots in the RIS thread and you'll see that it has a light rating.Theoretically it has no vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, due to the stat shifting bug, it has randomly occurring vulnerabilities.
i have a problem with the armor macro, im equipping 9 pieces of armor and it does the first 7 then gives me the message "too many commands queued. a command was dropped" twice, what have i done wrong ?
Great thread. One of the best I have ever read. Found myself going back again and again.
As I travel up the AS tree this will help me in not feeling "lost"!
Regarding Nightsister drops:
Common drops are the 3%base -5 action layers, and i've personally looted 8%-8action and everything in between. Good drop rates, worth hunting for them.
Night Sister shards ive seen as good as -19-action -29 mind, so alot of variation there
They drop off almost all nighsisters with the better ones usually dropping off higher level Nightsisters(elders).
The higher level the NPC the more frequent the drops and quality, but drops seem to shift like resources, and some shifts are better than others. So don't be discouraged by a bad hunting trip
3 8% layers and then a NS shard would make real nice armor....
I'll say it again: Thanks for writing such an excellent guide!
I just started my journey to Master Armorsmith very late last night. Only got through engineering 1 so far, but was wondering:
What is the fastest way to get through engineering? So that I can start Armorsmithing ASAP ![]()
