I fear that don't reply because they don't have any answers. Its one of two things.....they don't want to change anything, so they don't know how to respond or they realize they've made some huge errors, but haven't figured out what they are going to do yet. I'm hoping the latter, but as we've seen when they make design decisions in a vacuum they rarely turn out right the first time. Hopefully, they are taking the suggestions they see to heart and deciding on how to implement it within the code they have.

I would hope of course to at least hear from them that they realize there are issues and they are trying to determine a course of action. Not hearing from them gives the impression that they don't care. Unfortunately for them perception becomes reality.

Hi guys :

I would like to offer a solution to the growing problem with the cu towards

the armorsmith proffession...

Its a very simple one but requires cooperation from all of us as a team on all

the servers.

From the release date we need to send a message that the powers that be

will respect and understand. So I would suggest that we all raise our prices

so high that armor cant be afforded by anyone . When the general population

gets mad becuase they cant get any armor and raise enought hell we will

have the developers attn and can get some of the issues adressed....

Boycott customers and raise prices shut down the profession and strike a

blow for the Armorsmith Proffession.......

I just don't think this is the answer. Personally I feel that if the community continues to speak out, we will have a much better chance for success. So tell all your friends AS's or not, get them to be heard.

We all pay good hard earned money for this game, we deserve the best possible experience "we can possibly imagine...."

Just a thought.

Feel sorry for you AS (I am a WS). I have always envied you for the complexity of making armor. Devs seems tobelieve that crafters think it is fun to make customized items with loot component and that is the way AS is heading (lol and having an AS makign custom orders are harder than getting an audience with the pope).

I personally have lost some interest in weapon making because of all the abundant loot after the last few patches. Everone want krayt/gorax enhanced weapons now when it is easy to get loot. This devaluate the work of good smiths. It is when you look at unenhanced weapons where you see who is the better smith. Getting 1 pt more damage than everyone else on a T21 is an achievement, but if everyone is sellign loot enhanced weapons it no longer matters. Is that gun made from the best possible resources and perfect experimentation or is it made with crappy resources but slightly better tissues? This is what you might be getting into.

So far WS seems nice after CU. We have Helios workign for us and he is really listening. Some examples:

- We wanted experimentation be more important - damage/speed is now split up (that was made before we had any comments)

- After CU beta people (well wookiees lol) asked for better Bowcasters - we got 2 new higher cert Bowcasters

- We asked for having better "classic SW" guns - we got upgraded E11/DLT44

I just hope that you get some loving as well

Why change the whole game when all thats neccessary is some good, bug free fixes...if this ruins AS I know I will drop it, and so will many other smith's I know, no smith's=no armor, no armor=no combat, no combat=NO PLAYERS!!! Raising prices will only alienate loyal customers...

I love AS for all the nuances in crafting that are going away. Not everyone wants to craft like an artisan or architect. I enjoy the complexity of being able to fool around with the layers, and the segments, and the armor itself (just like most of you, I am sure), and get the results I was trying for.

You could also tell the armorsmiths that cared about making the very best products, because it was obvious in the stuff they put out. You could tell which people didn't care. Under the new system, it will make no difference.

In the land of 1 experimentation bar, no one will be king.

Or have any fun either.

Must admit they announce a combat upgrade (which really is a game revamp) that they promote as "the best thing ever". I would have settled for less than this outcome, I mean by just removing weapons with dots, get the 75% reduction on poison/disease for combat medic in PvP, fixing loot (the greater challenge, the better loot/get rid of broken SEAs etc)and redone the bonuses for defenses (melee/renged etc) I would have been satisfied. So I think this "upgrade" is/has been up to not that good as they promoted it.

As this goes live I will cancel my accounts in protest, which I believe is the only thing that works .

If I am the only one doing this (all other player are content with the changes)they win, but they won't get my money for something I dislike.

The sad part is I enjoyed the game, crafting armor, raiding with my guild/other people

Only thing is the endless/mindless grind (apart from the above about DoT weapons,PvP etc), which seems to be more and more endless as this game advances.

/Tip Hat for Okram and the other correspondants for their work.

I have 1 account, this is not a ghost account.I don't care if anyone knows me,I don't have to list my master professions in my posts and then think that people really think I'm great like some of you guys do.You only want to know who and where I am so you can attack me in game. When I say " I AM ARMORSMITH " you just don't get and I'm not going to explain. These changes to the game will be good for the game.People will come, people will go, but the good thing about this game it ALWAYS changes.Been alot of changes sence day 1.I hope they keep mixing it up.

Ya know what, it doesnt matter to me whether you are a smith or not. The points we are trying to make is that in the end, its not going to be good for the community. Clone armors are not going to make this profession better, just more redundant like eq2. This is very similar to how they did it there as well. Armorsmith crafting was a thought out process for some, and now its all about loots and resources more than ever. I use loots on my armors currently, ie rancor hides and krayt scales as a niche market. But based upon the state of the game faqs, its now gonna be a bigger issue. If you cant understand that, then im sorry. Yes your entitled to your opinion, but just remember, so are the rest of us. And alot of us who have been smiths for some time can tell a nerf when we see it. You speak about the other professions you have mastered and to me this speaks of someone who isnt dedicated to a specific profession and goes where the wind blows. Most of the smiths here have been since day one and not switched. Your right that people will come and go, but I have a feeling that with this cu, you are going to see alot more people go. This in turn with supply and demand is going to make armor suits that currently go for 200k for full suits rise in price. Only time will tell on just how high.

I'm trying hard to get their attention, but sometimes the devs like to retreat to their cave and not listen to anyone.

By the time the Marines armorsmiths hit the coast of Iwo Jima CURB, there were an estimated 20,000 Japanese soldiers20 developers on the island SWG project, holed up in caves and pillboxes, emplacements for machine nerf guns.

"There were two or three Japs developers in each pillbox. Some of them were just rocks piled up, some wood, which provided very little protection for them," Jones Renea said.

In Hawaii On Tempest, Jones Renea, who stands 5-foot, 2-inches, was selected from his platoon her server to be trained as a flamethrower. Flamethrowers were needed to flush the Japanese developers out of the caves and pillboxes.

Yup, I'm ditching armorsmith to become a commando so I can burn the buggers out of their caves.

Renea,

sorry Cianhydle ... the dev's have on some of the new armor, it's 13% protection against heat damage from posters. 8P
