As a Post CU suxor nooblet crafter, I am unsure how the market was back in the day. However, since I capped resists on recon / assault armors (funny, intrepid wont let me known my vendor anything with ASSault in the name- lame- ridlin swallowed, back on topic) these are some ways I have drummed up business. Selling approimately 10 - 15 suits per week atm as well

- spam the populated cities (Eisley, Theed, Dant MO on Intrepid)

- get to know the galaxy service industry types when you get your AS buff- tip the heck out of them- and ask them to send you customers. Its AMAZING how many ppl the chatters get to know in a day

- wear the helper tag (not for the anti-social or those annoyed by the /tell beep i assure you)

- price dump things like bracers or biceps for 1k apiece

- keep your single parts / replacements vendor stocked with lots of helmets, chests, leggings

- color your armor suit bags with the color of the armor

- get to know guilds & their, send them a "coupon" - aka Columbus Day sale, 10% off regular priced armor suiter for INSERT GUILD NAME HERE. Valid for the next 7 days

- do things like the rebel theme park or imp theme park. compliment the mid level players and tell them how good they would look in rebel / imperial armor

- Use your alt to drum up biz for you (grinding groups, base raids, etc)

Anyway, hope this helps. Go go Gadget Marketing Degree.

PS Any volunteers willing to help a salesguy with the engineering behind a creative looking sig for my postings?

THANKS

Kepp things in stock is all you have to do. I went froma a nobody AS before the CU to the top AS on Flurry post CU becuase I stocked all types. There was no challange before either, sickens me to hear people always brag about "how armorsmith used to be a challange"... no it wasn't so quit patting yourselvs on the back.

The top notch armor was only achieved by a lucky slice. Everything else was just resources and CA's. there's no secret mod in the game randomly handed out saying 'you'll be a xx ammount of bonuses to Armorsmith, but suck at chef'. All toons are created Equal, and so with the same stuff, all toons make the same armor. Same then, same now

you are an arrogant man

there was skill or some sort of craft to it before the CU, maybe that is why you were a nobody smith then with that attitude like that, you prob didn't have a lot of creativity and was a 80% kin, 40% stun on vendor only type of guy with no variety and won't grind out the triple amazing for all combines

hi, not an armorsmith, but I would reccomend, as far as padded armor, trying out different color combos, such as yellow/black

breaking away from the "we have 3 combos, black, red, and black/red!" is great, i am personally loving this dark green padded armor I picked up.

perhaps make armor suits matched in color to certain planets? makea "Lokian Camo" set of armor or something like that.

anyways have a good day!

hello i hope you come back to check this out

we all would love to do different colours but at the moment we cant due to a colour bug with our armour so we are stuck doing certain colours unless we hand craft all our armour which is not visable with some of us

and i totally agree with you padded has some great colour ranges and they all look good ubese colours suck though

hello yes i came back and thank you for the information, I really hope you get your fix, although i don't see SoE doing much with crafters these days still though i hope it get'sfixed.
