it is RIS segment, you cant use a padded segement in anything other than padded, or composite in anything other than composite!! cant use the RIS seg in anything other than RIS

I think you'll find it's the people charging 1 million plus for Dune Kimogila Scales that raise the prices of this armour. Check the trade forums and you will see what prices RIS components go for. If you collect 10 pieces (not accounting for crit fails) of each component and ask an armoursmith nicely, then you may get it a lot cheaper, but be prepared to spend a few weeks at leastgetting it.
Back on Topic: Any stats on Acklay Hide Segments, rather than on final armour?

at the risk of completely derailing this thread...i sell crates of 20 for 500k...cant keep em in stock long enuff..
regarding the RIS segment, i made a helm yesterday with 65% kinetic, 77% base, and vulnerable only to stun and acid.
it's great, next time i plan on using 1 NS layer, 1 stun, and 1 acid to get everything some protection.

I thought RIS armor's stats were zone specific or something. i.e. If you go off planet with RIS armor, that 65% Kin, 77% base will change to some other stats... which bite. So really, why on earth are you going to try to input a NS layer, which will essentially be wasted?

the way a free market economy works. Something is worth what ever people will pay for it. if people will pay 20 mill for a set, i think that is a bargain. On valcyn giant dune kimo scales sell for over 3 mill alone, so a set would cost 30 mill just for those componets and more in the 50 mill range for a complete set, not to mention most of the resources for it are also rare and difficult to find.
If someone provided all the componets for RIS (not riz) i would do it for free, if they gave me 2 kimo scales.
RIS is a novelty armor, not really for extensive use to "protect yourself"
also if you quit buying that is good, most of us cant keep stocked, someone else will just buy armor after you boycot

RIS has no vulnerabilities
Don't forget that RIS and all other armors that have no natural vulnerabilities is Bugged.. ie Tantel and PSG's... the Vulnerabilities shift every time you log or cross a server boundry, which for all practical purposes makes Tantel and PSG's not worthwhile for the consumer and quadroupley so for RIS armor which is so difficult/expensive and time consuming to makeit's completely worthless for any armorsmith with any integrity to make. How can you guys charge so much for armor that isfor all intents and purposes is useless? Of course.. if there are fools out there with more money than sense willing to pay 20 Mil+ for a suit.....
