Thread: Post-CU Mandolorian Crafting Revealed!
Message Edited by Turel_ on 04-03-2005 06:04 PM
You can also see the DWB crafting messages under String->En->Dungeon->Death_Watch.stf
Another good spot to look at is Object->Tangible->Loot->Loot_Schematic You will see a big list of shared_death_watch schematics for BH and Mandolorian armor, which appear to be what you recieve when doing the crafting portion of the quest. Not sure how you get the Bounty Hunter though, maybe it is just a loot drop there now while Mandolorian is still crafted.

Pure Speculation Follows...
I currently have NO idea how RIS crafting is going to be post-CU. Since when you give your RIS to the RIS Quest guy after CU he spits out a Segment for you, it appears RIS may be classified as Battle Armor but it will be its own seperate core, meaning it will have its own specials resists and debuffs. Of course I could be wrong, as for some reason he spits out a segment but there are still schematics listed for RIS Apperance pieces.
I will definitly be taking a closer look and will welcome all of the help I can get on TC-5 to go farm GDK scales if the Blue Frog doesn't have RIS on it once the armor option is enabled. Well I guess we will need those anyway unless we can get all Armorsmiths on TC-5 set to RIS certified by default...

For all we know that may not be there Post-CU on Composite since it was a temporary fix in the first place. Or maybe its on all armor Post-CU since we all like that so much. We won't know for sure till we get a Dev response or we get to the next testing phase on TC-5.
Also another concern I have at the moment. Since all anyone has right now with good stats is composite armor, and composite armor is Assault (3 Professions) will that be left as composite armor or will we get an option to convert it to Recon or Battle as well?
ArdenS wrote:Not to highjack this thread, but after going through every patch I can find no evidence that the NS Bicep drop has been change. So these are still not lootable, at this point.
The loot tables are server side only. All we can discover in the TREs is when files are added to the game, or when files are updated. The lack of seeing any NS Bicep changes just means its art asset hasn't been changed.

Sorry, i'm a bit confused on the trading in schematic part. Right now the RIS quest goes: Make a segment, make a layer, make the boots. I really hope this quest gets tested on TC since from looking at the direction RIS is going, there hasn't been any confirmation on the RIS segments and Layers remaining in game. We'll see how the segments fit into the crafting process, but I can't see the layers being removed... makes Peko Peko feathers useless.
Now we wait for the frogs..lol ![]()
Oh.. and on the DWB. My guild has a weekly group run and as a master AS/master Pike, I am able to jump right into combat without too many worries (couldn't go solo.. lol). /polearmSweep on SBD's rock! Something I am looking forward to is being able to maintain my template post-CU and actually meaning something incombat. Right now PvP, and high end combat, is the domain of triple-elite masters and template stackers.

Guess they expect crafters to dabble in combat now.

Yea, its not as easy as you say though. BDs and NPCs do AOE attacks, and if you're in a tight area, like one of the corridors, you're more than likely to get hit. Having no armour is a big problem in the DWB. Chances are the team will have a Doc with them to rez the crafter if he gets killed, which there is a fair chance of, if they have no armour. However, an un-buffed, unarmoured crafterwill have lots of problems in the mines, which is where their life is really important. Having said that, it will probably give us more incentive to go make the modified rebreathers, to allow the crafters to survive unbuffed in the mines.
Once the Blue Frogs start dishing out master professions, I'll rally Chilastra's expert team and we'll go see how it works out for us. (hopefully I'll be able to convince a dev to lend us some components, for testing purposes of course.
That wont ever happen , the part about a dev loaning parts, its stated somewhere officially they wont do that On LIVE servers. Thats a type of thing that will be done on Tc, which i hope to get in on lOl :0 , ill post the results here once tc-prime is back up
