I have heard talk of the devs posibly making them clothing.. since they offer no signicant armor value. Is this true or just a pipe dream?
I'd say pipe dream. Tiggs made it pretty clear that this is the way it is. I'm sure if there's as much of an outcry as there was about the group XP, it could change though. But honestly-- buying an Armor Attachment to put into your Armorweave belt...can you honestly tell me that you never considered that this thing might be considered armor and therefore professions that aren't certed for armor (Jedi, TKMs, crafters, artisans, entertainers, etc) shouldn't be able to equip them?

I already posted this before and changed it just a bit, its directed at the Devs.:
The game is different from how it was "intended" to be at launch. Armor attachments and clothing attachmentsneed to be made into a generic "skill attachment" placable in anything with a socket. In the begining it was "intended" that EVERYONE could wear armor, well thats not how it works now, and you need to take the time and effort to make things right.
The CU introduced innate armor for Teras Kasi Artist yetmost if not all the Teras Kasi Artist Skill attachments I own are on Armor Attachments.
Question: Did the CU convertion magically convert these Teras Kasi Artist Armor Attachments seeing as how they can't posssibly exist??
Answer: NO.And they still drop as Armor Attachments.
Question: What was the point of taking armor away from Jedi?
Answer: To remove the PROTECTION it provided, just because something is labeled armor doesn't mean it fits the original reason for Jedi not being able to wear armor.
Further more is it not unbalancing to PREVENTTWOCOMBAT CLASSES(Jedi/TKM) from having access to Armor Attachments?
This is unacceptable and you know it. This isn't a fix, you are just playing word games, proclaimingoh, oh, now it's "armor", it's publish 22 it'stoo late to be making a change like this. Your entire game is bugged, I can't tell what is working as "intended" and what isn't.Wedo not have ESP, we are not mind readers, andyet youhave the audacity to make the players shoulder the burden of YOUR MISTAKES. Way to make already frustrated players even more upset.
The devs spent time recoding this and didn't think it through. Now they have a problem, but they are too busy working on the expansion to actually fix it.
You know why you lose customers,it's because of garbage like this.

It's ALWAYS been armor, they haven't changed anything about the belt. The coding for the belt itself has been unchanged. It took Armor Attachments since the first day somebody made Mabari belts with sockets. The only thing that they changed is to remove a bug that allowed people to equip it and have the system not register it as armor.
Once again, in case you missed it-- the Mabari Armorweave belt has ALWAYS been considered armor. The only thing that they changed was making sure that like all other pieces of armor, you could only wear it with the proper cert. Now that doesn't mean that is doesn't suck for the Jedi and TKMs who bought them, but it isn't like this item was changed.
Should they have changed it is a question I don't really don't want to get into, but you really need to get your facts straight. The belt has always been armor, they didn't wait until publiish 22 to change anything. The coding for who could equip it changed with the CURB. Somehow though, this particular piece had a bit of buggy code that allowed anyone to wear it. They removed that bug.
Personally, I'd love to see a refit option on the belt, changing it to clothing that has condition. That way people don't lose the AA's but they don't get a piece of clothing that acted as a free ADK (you'd also have to refit it for normal professions before they could wear it, as well). Just my two cents.

anyone know about ubese armor shirts? i have one with +12 ua speed. tested it with a friend. get hit with the same damage with it on and off.
ubese is ok as Im jedi powers and can wear and use force lightening.
Other types of armour stop me from using FL.
everything that can hold AA's is armor and break your TKA armor.
mabari belt -> Armor
any boots or gloves from a armor set -> Armor
ubese shirt and/or bandolier -> Clothing
the only way to use AA is wearing armor.
sounds bad but.......think about this:
what cost a +10 general melee speed or accuracy CA?
what cost a +10 general melee speed or accuracy AA?
the first one 1+ mil each point because jedi think they need them.
the second one ist cheap, around 100-300k each point because jedi can not use them.
