Ithorian Sentinel armour is EXACTLY the same as Composite armour (except for appearance, obviously). Same resources used to make it, same resists.
The other two types correspond to Padded and Chitin armour types, so sadly there is no Ubese-style option for mid-level grinding. Sentinel is far superior at the moment, hopefully that will all change in the Combat Upgrade
Hello to all the galaxies armor smiths. I have been trying to find out what kind of armor it is that will make a Ithorian look like Johnny-5. What is it called and what professions can use it? I tried to ask around on my server but due to the lack of Ithorians on my server I could not find out what kind it is, even when I asked an armor smith. All I know is that it looks cool, and I want it for a new character I am starting. Thank you

I think the one you are looking for is the Ithorian Guardian Armor which requires a recon cert.

That's the assault armor. It is used by Bounty Hunters, Commando's and Squad Leaders.
Thanks. That is unfortunate though I wanted my Itho to be a MSW/MM and use the armor to look extra cool while I crafted ships. With is being used by hybrid profession I wont be able to keep it to long. Thank you vary much and keep up the good work fellas.
