I have tested the suit of Composite armor against a suit of Stormtrooper armor and I have found that the Storm trooper armor is better because of the low ham costs ..... I am a Zabrak and have all the regenerative stats maxed ... I can wear a full suit of ST but i cannot wear a full suit of Composite that has been sliced.

Now I lose about 375 to each regen stat with the ST armor and I cannot wear a 40% resist set of Composite sliced for HAM cost ... so .........

I am still leaning towards just using a high end PSG cause they do not have a ham cost .... but I have to admit .. if I had to wear armor I would use the ST armor as a Zabrak. :-)

To wear a full set of Composite and make it worth it:

  • Have the Master Armorsmith experiment with encumberence.

  • Have a Master Smuggler slice all pieces and pray for mostly lower encumberence.

  • Migrate your stats. This is a must to wear the full suit even if you slice all the pieces with encumberence. Each person migrates differently, so just tweak stuff here and there until you find a good layout.

  • Without buffs or spice, your secondary stats will all be around 50 or below. I only wear armor when I am an overt or do PvP wars. Usually at PvP wars, you have a Master Doctor with buffs. With Composite Armor on and buffs, I get my Health and Action to around 3K and my secondary stats to around 1K+. Use Muon Gold or watch Master Dancers/Musicians for a Mind buff and you'll be almost God-like.

Viddy, slicing composite is a waste of of 400K. It wears off in about 1 week of PVP, and after that if its sliced you can simply throw it out.

My full set of composite sits in my house as decoration,. I do however run around with the helmet on due to the mind pool attacks.

Thats funny, I pvp quit a bit wearing a full suite of composite, I also pve with it. Having a AR 1 and 45% resist make up for the slow regen. My marks never hit me for over 300 vs the 1200 + when I didn't wear the armor. And as far as durabitly I had my set for a week now the worst condition piece is the chest piece its at 30566/32478.

Seems to hold up better than you let on. And it was sliced by the way.

I got a full composite armor suit and it rocks, around 40% resists, you really notice the difference. BUT you have to get it made by the best armorsmith on your server, then get it sliced by a master smuggler. I am a human I have set my health/action/mind to 900 and then put the other points into the other secondary stats so I wear this armor. Now I have lost200 to my HAM but have gained a lot into my secondary stats which allows me to wear the armor without using drugs. Now this doesn't have a large drawback as when I am wounded I unequip my armor and I am heal extremely quickly due to my secondary stats being so high. When your in a large firefight those resists really come in handy.

About the ST armor, yeah I agree it's very nice but of course you have to be overt in order to wear it which obviously isn't always convenient.

I own a full suit of composite armor, but I never wear it, the mind cost on the helmet is RIDICULOUS 288!!!

The pecking order should be roughly even. The exceptions are that master professions that take more skill points should get a bit more of an edge as a reward for the additional investment.

AS a BH you don't need armor if you have a pet tanking for you.

I don't. so I use a full set of sliced composit with resists of 28.

It's not the best but the encumbrance isn't bad either.

Today my armor saved my life several times .

One mark hit me for a 1200 head shot and my helm stopped over 900 of it saving my life.

Yea you can play the incapt game but I rarely do and I rarely die.

Where as before I would be a one shot kill to any of my marks... I'm an armor user convert now.

Best armor I've seen out there is Marauder armor. Go to the Marauder camp in Endor, run missions for King Terak and he gives you marauder armor which has awesome resistance and the encumbrance is ungodly low.

Hi

For a long time, I have been going at it rambo style. That is: Boots, pants & a gun.

Recently... I sold out, and bought a set of composite armor. But I'm appearantly not healthy enough to wear it all at once. I know the key is within stat migration, but I have no idea what stats I have to lower and/or increase. I've noticed that a small hand-full of people also wish to know this, but there have been no answers. If anyone does know, please write and tell us what we're going to have to do.

Thanks

Saidyn
