Thread: Rough estimate on BH armor prices?

my suggestion, make lots of money off these, think about what you had to go through to get the schematic in the first place (time and effort, if bought then money it took to get) schematic is one use so it is rare (supply and demand) whether layers were used in this (added resources). If it was me I'd be chargind around 1 mil for the chest, 800k for the helm and pants, bracers and biceps I'd say around 500-600k gloves, boots and belts around 100k
But then this is just me, and you know what I betcha there will be folks that would be more than happy to pay this as well too
Or another way of thinking about it is charge the same as RIS where the buyer doesnt provide the loot, if they provide the schematics for you then charge the same as RIS if they brought all the looted items.
Make sense?
Absolutely, nice answer, cheers.

Yup, agree with this, the RIS model makes perfect sense to me in this case.
1. If I have the BH schematic and craft a piece then it is similar to me supplying a RIS piece to the customer where I supply the loot. So I would sell the final piece of BH armor at a similar price to RIS. Maybe even consider a mark up for the first few weeks since demand will be high
2. If a BH customer comes to me to convert a schematic he/she has into a piece of BH armor, then I will charge for my time, their choice of core, and the fact that I will use server best resources to ensure the best condition on their final combine. Exactly the same way as if it wasRIS customer supplying the loot.
Good analogy.

It's hard to compair a BH schematic with any RIS loot. Consider this:
1. Any player can loot the pieces to make a suit if RIS.
2. ONLY bounty hunters(master mostly) are able to take these missions and hope they get a drop. If one does drop it is only 1 schematic instead of a stack of about 7-9.
With that said I would have to say they new crafted BH armor is going to sell for outrageous prices at first untill we all find out what the drop rates are for the schematics. Just what I think.
Consider this as well:
R.I.S. requires, and will always require, the now even more rare loot drops to make it: (i.e. GDK scales and Gurk King Hidesat 9 per suit) And if you don't have an alt taking down the one at the POI right now, the AS needs to spend 750k and up per single loot item.
Also, anyone that is Assault certed from their profession can wear BH armor. Not just BH's. And keep in mind how many respec MBH's there are now thanks to the respec periods. It feels like every player has a BH alt nowadays.
And as far as this armor being rare? Hehee not for long. My pre-CU BH alt went out for a few trips yesterday and I was chuckling to myself outside the city limits watching the sky hail down Probe Droids all around me. Funny sight seeing 25 MBH's in one area.

A lot of great arguments. I tend to view BH armor as an assault version of RIS. It's hard to say right now whetherthe lootwill be considered more rare than RIS because the devs have an impending loot nerf on the way...
But to address people's claims that RIS loot is hard to get, I have to disagree. I spent a little over an hour hunting lastnight to stock up on loot...here's how it went:
> Yavin 4...waited for 10 minutes to kill 2 rounds of harrowers, 3/4 dropped bones for a total of 20 bones
> Lok...headed to the volcano and hung around there for an hour...killed 6 gurk nests, got one loot of 8 hides...killed 11 GDKs and got 14 scales
Now, was one person's one hour and fifteen minutes work to get almost 2 sets of RIS loot more work than these BHs are putting in running missions for hours upon hours to get a full set of schems? In my opinion no, because I've been a MBH and tracking marks off planet is a pain in the ass, and I can say with certainty that my RIS hunt was 10 times easier lastnight.
In conclusion, I think even the current BH armor schem drop rate is worthy of RIS like prices, let alone if the impending nerf makes them even more rare....or maybe RIS is just over priced to begin with.

Lol, way too expensive. Basically the Devs are introducing BH armor into the game as regular nice armor, this is just an interesting way to get it in, it will top out at less than it usually sells for, I'll venture a guess at $4 million a set........

well whatever they should be charged as, some dude on the farstar trade forums thinks he can sell the helm schem for min of 5mill. this has gotto be too expensive???

Good point Z. And I would tend to agree with you when I was finding wild spawns such as you are.. But as of Pub 19 Mt Chalot has been a ghost town on Corbantis although the Gurk Kings (well not as hard to find) and Harrowers (on a 5min retimer) are easy, the GDK's have been absent in the wild spawn deptartment. Master Rangers are boggled about this as well, so I gave up searching for a while.
