After a good evening of experimenting and a long boring hunt for some decent wooly hide I've made a good suit of padded armour from which I'm going to try and start off a custom order business. I've noticed that people have been buying only parts of the suits, is this because that their's has broken? I don't believe I can compete with these tens of armoursmiths that churn out sets composite and kinetic ubese so I have decided that padded is the way forward. Tomorrow I will try the mabari on the bazaar idea, I like that idea and as said thats where newbies look.

Thanks for all the help guys, and hopefully I should start making some cash before the weekend is over. Which tree is better to get deflectors or layers? as currently I'm 4/2/0/4 and have never used personal generators myself.

Viper, let me give you a suggestion.

with even crappy hides and stuff, i have gotten 50% kinetic chitin. i mass produce chitin legs and chestplates that now i can get 54% kinetic. I sell them on the bazaar for the cap 6k, and everyday i get about 6 or 7 chi-chings(my noise when i get the mail thats a sale hehe). Now I am not going to become wealthy like this, but this armor gives noobs something to shoot for because nothing on the bazaar galaxy wide on wanderhome even comes close. I always label my armor like this:

Jamaican Chitin Leggings (54% Kinetic).

im hoping people will remember my name when they finally find their niche in the game and start making some money.

so far it has been slow, but ive moved about 100 pieces this way through the bazaar. thats alot of people who have bought my product.

Im just seeing how it goes, and ive been having lots of fun so far, even if i stay broke. i dont have a nest egg, but im gaining experience in how products sell.

easiest way to make money from noobs selling armor that no one does.

give mabari away free to noobs. that is right free. I have a shop near coronet on my server and there is ALWAYS noobs out hunting meatlumps.

in the name of your armor put the coods to your shop, they wont care, it was free. explain how the coords work, because they are new they may not understand how to type /waypoint xxxx xxxx.

they are so happy to have FREE armor, as soon as they get a few thou credits they march right over to your nearby shop and by chitlin armor. you are the only armorsmith they know and are forever loyal customers for you helping out a broke noob.

also most noobs dont understand how armor works, resists, HAM, etc. an educated noob is a good noob to sell to. Also train up the experimentation tree first, your low level stuff will be higher quality than the holo grinders out there and will sell better off the bazaar

Hahaha...I just had someone ask me for some junky armor. I understood where he was coming from, but he didn't give me any time to see if I could help him. Just took off. /shrug

I've had pretty good success selling the lower level armor. Mostly Mabari, on the bazaar. Most that buy it may be new, but I don't think they're stupid. Everyday I saw the same un-experimented sets just ticking down the 6 day limit. I was selling 4-5 sets a day. I can almost guarantee that they're looking at the stats and 19% beats 6% everytime.

So, yes there is a demand for it. And it'll pay for your harvesters, travel and house.

I've been finding Voritor, Faamba, and Rancor Segments, making armor with them, and selling them on vendors in Theed for 1k up to the max 6k for Faamba padded chest pieces. They move pretty well, and I get a few additional credits for looted components. Not to shabby.

For your Ubese armor, sell the segments on the Bazaar then advertize in the description you've got the Ubese Jackets.

Oops..I meant sell the smaller pieces (arms, boots) on the Bazaar...

I think a good way to move some lower end armour would be to cater to female players. They like armour made with more feminine colors, and usually aren't too concerned with quality. In my experience I have found Padded was popular for this. I am only referring to the gamers who are content with being Tailor/Entertainers or other non-combat profsand want to look cute.
