Would probably require like meat or something like that to piss off armorsmiths like wookie armor switching up the resources lol

I kinda hope that they make it so that AS's have to collect a whole new set of resources (not new like JTL, but new as in stuff we don't currently need. Like Carbonate steel or something like that). I think it would allow new AS's to compete with the big boys for a little while, just a thought.
Also it would be cool to have entirely new stuff to tinker with, even though i think that is coming with the whole CU anyways.

It takes 6 months MINIMUM -to collectnice AS resources set. So if they changeres. - there will be no good armor for several months
But ifthey make maximum quality armor easy craftable - I'll drop AS for sure. There is no interest for me to makesomething everyone can make , and I'm sure many AS feel the same

i was thinkin the same, first of all the new armor system doesnt sound to well for me.
second the big crafters will always stay ahead since they got the cash to buy whatever they need.
being smith for about a year finally the time has come to try something else, hehe.
PvP should be nice after CU though.
i'll keep merchant on a diffrent toon though to resell stuff, hehe

In all truth, they're probably going to do somehting similar to both the SW introduction (( inserting new resources )) as well as making the segments universal like they did with the ithorian armor. Have to remember they've been trying to calm the influx of too much money in the game, so it'd be smart for them to actually have us start over with resource gathering so that the product isn't as good and we can't sell it as high. then when people have lower stat items so they'll tear it up more often and because people will end up dying more often, giving the items decay which means they'll buy more as well asinsure it more often, because they don't want to actually have to buy a new set the next day... a whole cycle to eat up a bunch of the money. The crafters with all the cash would end up pumping a lot of it into the harvesters to keep the supply up. The only downside I see would be the part time armorsmiths and the new guys will be having issues wirth keeping up with the demand. ::shrugs:: Just a thought...

They won't be having us start fresh. That would upset too many long time smiths that have been collecting for a long time.
I had to do all this as a novice, I just hope they won't do it to me as a master. SW was new, but AS has been around since the begining. They want to make sure everyone can get armor when the CU hits, not a month later.

I'll go out on a limb here and say they could change the whole armor "ballgame".
Stats on resources have no effect on the end result of the suit.
They will add new items to boost the potential of your armor and they will wear out.
Rare spawns could still be a special ingredient.
Since the CU will change the combat professions, I wouldn't invest in skill tapes. Or for that matter, high quality resources. Unless of course you mine or find it yourself. Then just hold on to it until the changes go in, or enjoy them while you can.
Or, they could do something even more radical.... or not change a single thing.

That makes no sense. Why would they do that? AS would be a crap profession then.
