Well I dont like it

How much more resource do i need?

I would sure love to be on the test center to check this out.

It's crazy,How much itemI need just to make the 4 dif Armor, That I like to make

So will my resource be useless?

right now i have the best OQ and SR

so will i need to find new resource with better stat likeUTMA CD?? just to make a set of killer armor

I think this is over kill

all SWG needed to do is up the damage % that player do with there weapons

to break threw the armor protection

We will need a new type of armor clothing to prevent the additives of clothing enhancements and/or already disallowed bio components. These pieces will still remain crafted by Armorsmiths. This should encourage the use of some of our least used races because they are no longer suffering a massive combat disadvantage."

I know those are words...and they collectivly make sentences and a paragraph...but I have no idea what this is trying to communicate.

Some races can't wear certain pieces of armor. Trandoshans, for example, can't wear boots.Because of this, they were at a disadvantage in combat because they could get hit in the feet and take massive damage.

This change means that races that can't wear gloves or boots no longer have to worry about being hitin the feet or hands. It puts them on more of a level playing field with everyone else. Thereby encouraging them to be played more.

Hmmm... It shall be interesting to see how this turns out...

I'm actually more concerned about the space because of this new upgrade. Since most, if not all armorsmithing armor/layers will be used, then I will have to more than double my resource storage space. I don't know where I'm going to get that.

it is fine to guess, that is not what I meant

one person thought there might be LS layers, and the next person argues with him

we allhave our guesses/opinions, guessing and what not is fine, but it is silly to argue about it

I understand what you're saying, no worries. I don't really consider it argueing, to me that's when things are getting heated. I like having constructive discussions/guessing on things like this.

Anyway, /hijackOff.

Back to your regularly scheduled guessing and trying in vain to figure out the CURB before we get our grubby hands on it.

please quit guessing, and wait for information to creep out

Why? Seriously, there's really no harm done in making a few guesses either way and its fun to try and nail down exactly what the DEV's are up to.

Who knows, we might get it right.

I predict that we will start seeing quite a few new armorsmiths in the coming months. I guess it is time to start stockpiling resources again...

Ya but probably only for a while. I bet it'll be like the Shipwrite boom when JTL came out. After a month all the bandwagon SW's died off. May not even be as bad as that was either. After the fad of the new stuff wears off things will go back to normal. I'm sure Weaponsmiths will have the same deal after the CU.

I am very much looking forward to the CU, primarily for the changes being made to armor. I've always been a fan of chitin, and the ability to craft factional armor (I assume this is the case?) will change everything.

Even if we can't craft factional armor, I'm confident that the CU will make SWG even more fun than it already is.

If we can craft factional armor, then there is nothing in this world that will stop me from specializing in Imperial armor.

Why should they make a simple but effective armor revamp when it could also a complicated one with an unknown end as it is planned now ?
They simply wanted to get rid of all the composite clones and reduce the effectivness of armor and make faction armor worth wearing .......... everyone normally should agree on that but i dont like the way they are planning it one bit .

Why not armor certs for the different classes compared to the role they should fullfill in combat ?

Why not make encumb really matter by calculating it only on the base secondary stats leaving buffs out? if u cant wear it unbuffed u cant wear it buffed . In this calculation u could also add the player speed . non encumb used = 100% speed and this is reduced by very piece of armor u put on.

Why not simply lowering the base especially for composite by reducing the layers ?

And as for the factional armor ..... if its only wearable overt then they could have used the time creating them much better ... at least the should have read the GCW forums to see why the players are refusing to participate in the gcw .

Sorry to be so negative but i think that part of the combat revamp is nonsense . If u wear the wrong armor u might be one or two shotted and ure done for ...... wait ...... wasnt that the reason why the damage reduction was introduced ?This will really encourage player to participate in the gcw ..... im quite sure about that . It might at least kill the last encouragement for participating in the gcw after the jedi knight flood .

Dont get me wrong ........ i hope so it wont turn out like this but i think its most likely unless theycreate an really effective addable lightsaber protection
