Points for being a sane armorsmith, and having fun as an armorsmith.

- Ignore all tells, emails requesting any price reductions, discounts, freebees or otherwise.

- Don't be the "nice guy".... the nice guy gets screwed like last years turkey.

- You'll be sorry thefirst time you give in to these losers, don't ever do it. You think this will be the last time they ask? HAHA don't be so sure.I gave a guy a 20k gun once for free.... for the next 6 months he continued to ask me about free weapons on aconstant basis.

- /addignore everyone else you don't like.

I onlysell discounted armor to guildmates. If they try to hoard armor, I only give them 1 suit period.

I only give free armor to those who have willfull intent to help me with something in the future, or those who have already helped me in some way. Either thru the aquisition of more resources, or something else. Example, a weaponsmith bud of minewill make me any weapons I want for free, and in return I make him any armor he wants for free. Not a 1 to 1 exchange per se as the armor is quite a bit worth more than the guns he gives me... BUT... there is a definate plus tohaving a armorsmith you know and trust. I'd have no problems bringing over millionsin loot drops have him build me a gun and be sure I actually get it in hand.

I'm a doctor too, and a few people have helped me aquire good resources for that, they also get free armor.

Some people haven't given me anything in a while, but I know if they got something good for me it would be mine. They also get free armor.

In short you should NEVER entertain any requests for discounts, freebees or the likes unless they are someone who could benefit you inreturn.

even if i sell my 71% base composite at 800k a suit i can put up 25 suits and have them sold out in 24 hrs. its all about supply and demand. the demand is so much higher than the supply for good armor.

Is that why you've stopped responding to my tells?

I hope your joking. Don't ever remember ignoring yours. If you can't get through on a tell, I suggest emailing me. If i'm on with Elood, then I am busy and often miss tells. Plus I have my volume down, so I never here them.

I had a suit on display that was 67% base unsliced for 800k. Guy wanted me to sell it to him for 15k. Tries haggling with me, says he'll give me a holo if I give him the armor and 100k. Needless to say my answer.............

I end up telling him I'll give him the suit if he gets me a Woolamander Harrower bone. The lucky bastage loots one on the first one he kills.

We trade, 3 days later I get a tell saying I ripped him off and that those bones are worth 6 million. I'm like, don't think so sport. He kept on asking for money from me,I lent him some to get the armor on, because he said I ripped him off again because he could get a full suit of triple layered composite on. No thanks or anything, so he is on my ignore list.

Sometimes if I'm making schematics for Comp or Ubese I'll give away the bad pieces to guild mates or other friends in game.

LOL!!! A holo for a suit of armor and 100k. That's funny. He should have offered the holo plus 300k for the suit.

Bingo. That's what sets my prices - not resource cost, not what other 'smiths charge, or anything else that would drive pricing in a real economy. My pricing and how much I advertise is based solely off of how many sets I want to move per day. ATM, I don't really want to move more than one a day, and that's about how much business I'm doing selling 80% kinetic, 63% base, ~700/600/700 HAM comp with no advertisement.

I get quite a few but do what i do, save all your failed repaired comp 1/1 condition and watch them jump around in delight when you give it them, only to discover they will die a quick death at the hands of a sharnafs foot. Quitefunny when they send tells back afterwards lol

I recently relocated to a spot near Theed on Naboo and apparently a lot of players think that because you are an AS you are wealthy. I got this on series of tells from a new player who asked me what was the best armor I could make. Of course I tell him and he asks about a few other details. I tell him unless he's got the cash to get buffed he isn't going to able to put it all on. Here's were I got mad. The player asks for free armor, of course, and then asks for some cash. I say "no" to both request and he says, "Welcome to my friends list.....NOT!". How childish is that? After that I just added him to my ignore list, my first entry there BTW.

I don't mind building armor for guildmates, friends and I do take custom orders, half thecash up front of course. My guild leader asked me for a set of armor in exchange for some resources, I said sure. He's my guild leader after all.

i do give out free armor from time to time, usually "duds" or I toss them on the bizzare for a lot less then other people charge for the same. Almost a whole set of 25%+ Ubese for 500cr each piece doesn't usually last very long.

Weirdly enough I do not get those tells often, probably because the new players do not know well the crafters.

I do get around 5 armor repair tells per day though and I try to honor them but I will admit recently I have sometime camped my AS once my daily 2hours crafting sessions was over instead of keeping him semi-afk on the second comp...

Sometime you just don't want to have to answers tells on two computers at the same time....

And Emily 150k looks low =)

As for the offer and the demand, at around 500k for triple composite on Valcyn the offer is superior to the demand ( well I speak for myself, I sell around 150-180 pieces of armor a day and could stock/sell more if needed and I am probably not the only 12 pointers AS like this...)

I like how everyone seems to know a "guy" on "some other" planet who has the same type of armor at a higher quality and better prices. You have to stick to your gut feeling with price and only give stuff away to your friends.

Yeah, I usually ask them for the name of the person and the waypoint so I can buy myself some too. That usually shuts them up.

They think all MAS are newbs, not realizing just how insanse and complicated this profession can be.

I've even tried to educate ppl on this, but still go the tells every 5 minutes asking it thier armor is done. So I gave up and just don't do custom

My PA learned though. Wrote about 2 pages of info on what it cost and how long it takes to make a suit of armor. They all seriously though it took 15 minutes. When I showed them with factory times on a triple layered suit, it could take up to 5 1/2 hours.

I gained a lot of respect from my PA after that and they all stopped asking for free armor. I still gave it to them for free, but most refused it.

I love smart ppl, they make me enjoy this profession a lot more.
