yes i think this armor will be good given that good resources are used with all layers added...what i am wondering is the condition on them seeing as it is only a 4 armor set the current stuff goes poof very fast.

Thats how composite looked the first months. The advances in composite crafting over the months is insane, much because of the significantly better resources we have now.

your right however due to the specific requirements and hevily gated resources this stuff will always suck ass. Maybe in another year we can have 60%base wook armor

I don't think it will be that hard to make decent 60% base wookie hunting armor with good use of layers..........

i think 60% base on this is very possible, think for a second, im not an armorsmith, but imsure that you can get 4% base on layers and maybe even 5% (i talked to an as back in november and he said that maxed out the best he can make is 4% so im guessing better resources have spawned since then on gorath at least) so if you tri-layered it you could get 52% base(using 3 4% layers) and then you add in the tailor padded segs (which ive seen up to 6%)and you can get 58%, now im not sure if the base eff on this was maxed out or what but if it wasnt you can count that right there as an extra 2%maybeso then you have 60%.

which still isnt close to as much as comp can get with 71% base and 66% base on 40% stun suits but its definatly a start and its lightyears better than what we have now and with a PSG on you're almost on equal footing with someone wearing comp just as the devs promised

Nope. It's gonna be great layered. I'm just wondering how the experimentation is going to work out. Hmmm, I can't wait.

Are you aware that armour is designed so that with the best a gated resource can reach the final product will achieve the desired level... This suit is unlayered and put together using whatever resources were out there...

As to the time needed to get the resources to a reasonable level its not that long. I got to master AS a few weeks ago with no resources except some decent iron and some okay steel (from my Architect stocks), and some good wooly hide i saved from a month or soback when i decided to go AS.

I have since collected the resources to make 71% kinetic / 16% base ubese and am just experimenting with composite and got to 52% base / 63% electric using a single electric layer... With more work on the layering i will soon be able to produce a half decent suit. Gathering good enough resources is not that hard, you may not be able to get as much or as easily as there are more organics, but enough to knock up a dozen suits should not be difficult.
