Omg I so feel for you ppl, and glad to know Docs arn't the only ones that get some dumb ppl. I mean can have my advertise that buff go off right in front of their face, and they still send ya tells in asking 'how much,? what's the stats?' like ahh hmm can YOU not read? or the ever populer 'are you buffing?' (when their's a line right in front of ya).
Anyway sry for jumping in on yas like this, but glad to know docs arn't alone in this type of thing, gives ya a better understanding of what other crafting professions go through, when you've been in one that deals heavly with the public.

Customer: Can you make me some 90% base comp?
Me: no, the best crafted stuff can be is 80%, I can make 80% knetic with 67% base
Customer: I want 80% base unsliced
Me: I can't do that, I don't know anyone who can either really
Customer: I want 80% base unsliced
Me: It can't be made
Customer: I'll come back when you have some

LOL. Awesome story with the guy wanting money to buy the competitors armor.
I got a tell from a guy once wanting me to make him a full suit of Composite while at a starport. Needless to say he got a little irrate when I told him you can't make comp in a starport and that i didnt carry my supplies on me.

LOL, I always LOVE what they do/say when you tell them the price.
You can't forget the infamous, "Do you make good armor?" either.

I'm constantly amazed by how many people expect us to carry around merchandise, or make it on the spot. Come on folks, we have vendors for a reason, and who would carry around all the resources and crates of cloth/panels/segments to make composite armor in the field?

This happened to me when I first became an MAS and ran a small shop outside coronet...
I logged on to check my vendors, and click the "Offer" tab to see if anyone had offered any layers/shards/segments,
and I see an advanced composite right bicep offered to me for 15k, a quick look shows I didnt make it, its at 0 condition, and the base was somewhere around 35% I think... so I contact the customer and this is what follows...
Me: Hello, I saw you offered a piece of adv. comp to my vendor
Customer: Ya I thought you would like to buy it and fix it and resell it
Me: I didnt make the armor...
Customer: ya but you could still resell it once you repair it.
Me: Its broken armor...
Customer: Oh, well umm you could put it on display...
Me: Why would I want to buy armor, from you, that I didnt make, that is broken, to put on display when I could just make my own armor?
Customer: I dunno
Me: Well thanks, I'll think I'll pass, you can come pickup your item from the vendor still... Bye

this is mine....happened earlier today.
noob: hey come over here I want to ask you a question
thinking it was an innocent question and wanting to be helpful I go over to him
me: what can I help you with sir
noob: I want to buy some beginner composite armor from you
me: beginner composite armor??? what do you mean
noob: you know like cheap beginner composite armor
me: well the only stuff I really make is base composite armor I have it on my vendor fi you wnat to go check it out
noob: how much is it
me: 300k for the full suit
noob: I am a trandoshan I can't wear all of it and that is way to expensive I just started this game
me: well I can make you a good suit of marbari to get you started......although not the best it will get you by for a bit until you can afford abetter suit
noob: that stuff is junk how bout a suit of ubese
me: those are 100k per suit and I have quite a few of them on my vendor
noob: why is it so expensive I know it doesn't cost you that much to make it and I have seen some on the bazaar for cheaper
me: then please feel free to buy it off the bazaar if you think you can get a better deal
well about 20 minutes pass and then he starts sending me tells again
noob: hey how bout making me some chitin armor
me: I do not have the necessary materials to make chitin armor although I should have the stuff by the end of the week
noob: I will bring you what you need
me: even if you brought it to me today it will still take me some time to make it since I have to run a factory to get the necessary components
noob: well can you give me a price cut on some ubese then
me: I am sorry but my prices are more than fair and the cost of the resources that goes into them is worth atleast that much
noob: why won't you just let me buy a suit of it for like 10k I am sure you could just raise your prices a little and ge tthe money back fairly fast
me: have a nice day

I've had someone demand a full refund because:"I kept dyingeven withwearingyour armor."
In addition to a refund, he also demandeda new composite suit, and PSG's (if my armor was so bad, why do you want another suit?
).

Well I am a relatively new Armorsmith but I just was reading this yesterday and laughing to myself that none of these scenarios have happened to me yet and the...BAM, I paid for it! Last night I logged in and had sold 2 sets of Unlayered Composite (68% Electric/55% Base, and unfortunately higher HAM since I put my points into Special instead of HAM, but it was my first set, still learning) and I was pretty excited! Then about 20 minutes later, I received a /tell from the player that purchased it asking for a refund because they couldn't wear the full suit without buffs...I guess a comment like that was to be expected, but I wrote out very long descriptions on the bags when I listed them on the vendor and put exact stats for each piece, plus HAM totals for the suit...anyway, I refunded his money and relisted the suits because they had not been used yet. Then the player told me I should make stun armor because it sells for more...hehe. Well just putting in my 2 cents!
