On Dant the huurtons drop wooly. I and two friends hunted them for about an hour the other day. We did I think 4 huurton missions and I came away with about 2k in wooly hide.

If you're soloing, and not real high up as far as combat skills, you can hunt durnis on corellia. They are very weak critters, and some lairs have like 30 or more durnis in them. They drop about the same as paralopes, but because of the shear numbers you can get maybe 400 wooly hide a single lair.

But of course the most efficient thing to do is simply buy it. On my server it's not abundant but every few days you'll see some big stacks of it for sale at reasonable prices (5cr-7cr/ea) on Coronet/Tyrena/Kor Vella if you keep your eyes open for it. In the hour that it would take you to get 500-1k of wooly hunting, you could probably make enough money selling clothing to buy 5k worth or it.

I live on Talus and it's positively sucky for wooly hides. I feel your pain.

We need Tatooine Wooly Hides for some schematics, and Banthas drop a good amount. I'd go there.

Tat wooly is for those gawdawful high quality boots which don't take color and look awful. I have a 1k stack of tat wooly in case someone wants the boots. So far, nobody has.

Exactly! Every time I offer a customer a choice between hide boots (yes, the ones novice artisans can make) and high quality boots, the customer has chose hide boots every single time, and that's even before we start talking price, lol.

I actually sell a lot of those boots from my vendor. Not hundreds, but enough that I keep a stack of Tatooine wooly on hand to restock.

Best way to get hides? Have an alt who is a ranger - I got more than 22,000 hides in the past week doing missions on Dantooine. Nothing like a 4K stack of wooly and a 10K stack of leather to make your day!

On Naboo it would be the Peko Peko Albatross (rare spawn but 400-700 yeild depending on # of people grouped), but the regular Peko Peko are plentiful enough that the yeilds are good and they can be soloed.

On Tatooine of course it is the Bantha's.

On Yavin IV the Mamiens are quite plentiful and have large quantity of creatures spawning from their nests. Also, the Woolymanders in the Blue Leaf temple give a good resource drop - however, once you kill the ones outside, the ones inside need to be pulled out-side of the temple in order to get more than 1 unit, but it's a high yeild if you do. Only issue I have with Yavin is the creature agros ... makes it difficult to solo hunt effectively even with camo because most all of the creature their are high enough/aggresive enough to break camo while you are fighting other creatures.

On Corellia and Talus ... Paralope ... they don't have a high drop, however I have had as many as 40-50 of them spawn from one lair and they are so easy to kill that it makes it worth it.

www.swgcreatures.com is the best place to look. Ammount you get is based on CL level, and I think the largest wooly hide giver is the Peco Albatross on Naboo??? Not 100%, but I'd bet my lunch on it. Good luck taking it on, if you can find it. Endor is always a good place to get wooly, lots of CL 50s that give wooly and are common.
