If you're like me you don't have a large guild to draw from. Here's what I do. I go out and find a ranger or 2 (this is the hard par). Talk to them and ask them if they're interested in hunting - just tell them minimum 10 CPU for the stuff you want and they'll be all aboard.
Once they've filled an order (however large) just saw "hey that was cool, here's a complimentary suit of armor, keep the hide rolling in and I'll keep you in good armor"
Think of it as a bonus system. THen tell them to tell their friends. Send em an e-mail with your order so they can forward it. I went from 1 gatherer who was about to quit to almost 7 in 1 spawn of hide. (course I was offering 18cpu)
Organics are expensive...but so is armor, and that's why. Just RP (*gasp*) a little and watch as the rangers respond. It's easy money for something they would have been doing anyhow. Just make that very clear to them...and you might just make a few friends
Agree.
The cost ofa full set of armor as a bonuscompared toa few hundred K units of hide is minimal.
I do this sometimes with some newbs that can't afford good armor. Igive them adiscount ona cheaper set of armor and tell them to get me some hides in exchange for better armor (and even some extra credits).
But as someone mentioned earlier, a Jedi in a newb city is prolly the fastest way to get a hunting group going. LOL

I used to have to worry about running out of money first, but now I'm having trouble finding active rangers...
