Nah, that was Ahazi. For some odd reason, Shadowfire's Anchorhead is a ghost town.

Its not exactly a nerf and it will happen. The entire combat system is changing and the armor must change also.

And besides 90% comp armor is very unbalancing to the game.

nerfs arent always necessary or good, but they sometimes are, so shame on you for speaking such a generalization. im a combat medic, and guess what, it needs a nerf. i was teras kasi, and guess what? it doesnt need a nerf because its not that great. ive used heavy heavy armour, and guess what? it needs a nerf. its unbalancing and makes the game unfair for the people that dont feel like blowing all their time trying to make cash to buy it. (now if armoursmiths would charge fair prices for armour then maybe it would be ok, but lots of armoursmiths just screw customers)

It was on the TPS reports. Would you like me to send you a copy of the memo?

Armor will still be needed...lol. it's not like they're removing armor, so why quit? If you like it, stay, you'll still makes tons of cash...

It surprises me to see all the people NOT wanting the nerf...with 80%-90% armor and buffs, this game is rediculously easy and combat extremely BORING, PvE and PvP alike...I also hope they put some sort of movement penalty on heavier armor so that there will be trade-offs and, *gasp* reasons to wear all of the other cool armors we have at our disposal ingame...geez

i personally think it needs a nerf. i run around in 70% composite and yah it lets me kill just about anything, but its no fun and unbalancing. but making it so you can't wear high HAM suits by reducing buffs dosen't work.... i've bought low ham suits and i still can't get them on w/o buffs, and being a carbineer with armor i need the best buffs to not kill myself. another thing is they better just reduce old suits so u can still wear them otherwise i'll be very very upset since my armor is loaded with SEA's and they cost me millions.

GARonin has the right idea here. He espoused a concept that I have been pushing since I began playing the game. Base stats should have always been the plumb-line for armor wearing, not altered stats. Or at least an auto-unequip function should have been added to remove "illegally" worn armors when buffs wore off. The "don once, wear forever" concept is faulty, and the result is these cloned comp wearing armies we see all about us.

The developers have already fixed the most import issue we faced with the squashing of the stat shift bug, and thus Tantel and PSGs (two light armor elements) are worth crafting again. Now I would like tosee theplayerbase at large have to expend more strategy and tactic on thier HAM allocations than they have needed to do to this point. Two game elements will have to be addressed in order for this to occur. The ridiculous resists levels of Comp armor, and the equally ridiculous strength of the doctors buff. A player with +2000 to HAM, wearing 80% Comp is an affront to logic, and frankly, quite silly.

We, as Armorsmiths, ought to be the ones most grateful for any changes that may occur. We will have to produce, market, experiment with, and promote more armor types than we have ever had to before. Also, we will not be able to simply ignore the MAL quality of the resources we use.No longer will we give upcrafting all but Comp when we reachthe master level. I personally would love to see Tantel helmets become a must for medics, doctors, and riflemen, or light chest pieces (Tantel, Ubese, Chitin) become a sought after piece of equipment for those profession whose health HAM takes the hit for specials. For far too long the game has simply been HIGHEST RESIST+BUFF= NEAR INVULNERABILITY FOR ALL.

I tip my hat to the developers for the balance in theChef revamp. They managed togrant tangiblebenefit without introducingimbalance I believe, The one trepidation I do have with any changes is it seems these imbalances in armor and buffing have been a part of the game structure for so long that the developers themselves have "over improved" the MOBS. They must be careful here. It would be a mistake to force the game into a "Must Group to Achieve" implimentation.

Lastly, I would like to openly wonder as to why a perfectly legal, often practiced doctor buff should so far outweigh the benefit of illegally obtained substances? Smugglers and contraband users can loose their lives (in a scan)carrying around pixie dust, but a doctor can buff me for 800 - 1500 HAM pointsmore for an hour and a half longer without ever risking a thing?

once again comes the balance word. But what about the other issues that are plaguing the game. If people are forced to group, to take for instance Krayt whatevers, then who gets the loot, lower combat/armor, = more people to do same thing, = a serious grief war. I made a jedi on the tc2 , and i tell you what, we all started with 0 weapons, so it was force power or cdef weapons. took groups of 4 to go after some nymx, (whater the spelling), chasing after crystals, and all i heard was, I LOOT, yelled loudly by team leader. As you can imagine the 3 of us, quickly disbanded. If the loot system in this game was better, or every one got to loot the same thing, that would be 1 thing, but to openly invite ninja looting, because your char is weaker today then was last week, is definetly not a smart thing to do.

instead of decrease certain things in the game, how about increase the loot drop, NOT like it will make a huge difference anyway. other than prices for stuff goes down, focus on content. Bad enough they had the nerve to post the stats on the corvette mission, that 66% people dont get through, now we have to work harder, not my idea of fun. Make these stupid faction pets worth something other than a money making pet, for raising mission levels. stupidest idea they had was this armor decay, when dieing in pvp, WHY, that made my stop, why go through it when a cm, can own me from 80m away, not realistic. Why have bases, other than a bragging right, usless items, that need to be fixed, focused on, not tried and true professions. Once the armor goes down to 50% not like that will do a major difference, in pvp, Same people who are uber, elite, whatever, are still gonna be that way,

If they didnt want this stuff in the game, they should have left it out of the game. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to say "HOW ABOUT A DEV MAKE A CHAR, GIVE HIME UBER MATERIALS, AND SEE WHAT THE MAX CAN BE MADE". I may be thinking kinda to fast , but when i install a network, i kinda stress it to the max, to see where my weak points are, stress security, to see where weak points, are.
