Thread: GIVE US ARMOR COLOR KITS !!!!NOW!!!
No color kits.
First, just fix the bug.
Second, add a skill to AS that allows only an AS to change the color of armor. Put it in the master box or a 4th tier box.
Mechanics can be something like this:
Customer orders armor a certain color. You make it available for pickup from a vendor. The customer picks up the armor and says, "I really wanted a darker color blue", or "I changed my mind, make it this color.".
AS tells customer to offer package to vendor again at 10 creds. You pick up the package and make the color change using the AS "Color Skill" and then put the package back on your vendor.
The skill can work like any other "No Item Required" skill. Like Docs/CMs can now rez without a rez kit.
This way the business stays with in the AS arena.

good idea!
but maybe make it a lesser smith skill to give the new smiths somethign to make money on.
and it shold be 1 cred when offered to vendor
Not sure noobs could make much money doing this, if you dont need a kit.
The other option is to make the kits like smuggler slicing kits, a lootable item.
More reason to grind.........

well, if you were a well renowed master smith on your server would you color like 10 suits for free if it takes some time? I prolly would for some ppl, but if im hijacked in Cnet i prolly would charge some exorbant amount and tell them to find another smith who prolly would charge less.
Not saying i would turn down a customer, i prolly would do it for free if it didnt cost me anything, but some smiths dont have much playtime and would want to maximize the efficency of that time they do have.
Completely agree with this. For every hour I spend hand crafting armor, I make at least a couple of million (the armor will sell sooner or later if I put it on the vendor), and so I really don't think I would spend 10 or even 5minutesdiscussing recoloring optionswith somebody for 10k, unless it was a friend of mine.
