Pyke, with what you just posted, this isnt good news but bad news. This isnt going to help crafting, its gonna kill it.

Yeah why do you think this is going to kill it? Just means that people who get the right buff will make better armor. How is that bad?

First and foremost, its human nature to strive to reach a goal. I wont ever forget the first time I hit 80% kinetic on padded armor prior to the CU. It was the best day of my life. The thing that kept me going on the game, was that the other armors werent so easy so I moved on. IT was about accomplishment and difficulty that kept me interested and making armors.

When the CU hit, I almost called it quits, but then found that toying with enhancers and stuff made it a challenge to see what scales I could get by with to still hit the 350 cap on health and there was always the cap for armors at 8200 kin for assault, 8200 for recon on energy and 7200 on battle to still reach. What this buff is going to do, is make that mark not only more accessible, but quite frankly easy to hit.

If there is no challenge, then by human nature, people(players) get bored and will stop doing it. For the first few months this might mean a few more crafters yes, but they will then get bored with it and drop it. The dedicated ones may or may not stay, but if its not a challenge, why would you do it? Some will say credits, but if everyone can hit this mark, then credits will be dispursed for a month or 2 so that wont be worth the gain.

If this causes crafters to get bored or stagnated, dont you see that as bad for crafting? Yes I might be an alarmist, and this might not happen, but in a way it already has happened once. Remember the lovely cu. Remember all the crafters we had prior to its hitting, now look at the servers. On chilastra, we used to have 3 dozen great armorsmiths, now I can count them on 1 hand. I see this being bad, not good for our community.
