I use battle armor made with energy resist layers. I am very happy with the results. It is very effective for hunting jedi.

I've been using assault with 4.5k energy resist 6.5k kinetic resist. I do fine against everything. I intend to switch to battle armor tat my armorsmith promises to give me 7k energy resist, along with a 2.5k PSG for energy resist

I'm assuming from your post you are primarily a PvE bounty Hunter. 4.5K energy is by no means effective against all but the weakest Jedi. Also the PSG is absolutely useless in BvJ unless the Jedi pulls out an enrgy based range weapon. A PSG does not resist lightsaber melee attacks, and saber throw is also considered a melee attack.

I have 6900 resis Energy, its pretty efficient and i like it. Recon ftw

Actaully i can take out a full-temp. It is harder but it is feasile. I do prefer pve none the less.
