Thread: Tantel Armor Max Special Protection (energy)

Time to take this topic off on a tangent....


The thing to do with that layer socket on Tantel is to get yourself a very nice night sis layer - up to 20% poss I belive, then get a 5% Janta for the segment, add this to the possible 25% base Tantel can yeld and hey presto 50% base including stun..... And folks - that can be sliced - see what I'm thinking.....

back to topic


I remember that the tantal had been bugged and had shifting stats. I had some pieces when crafted they all had similar stats, but after a week or two on a vendor some had 3 vulnerabilities, some had 5 etc.


So....there were chats about getting stun high on tantal armor back then. Suppossedly the stat shifting is done with psgs and RIS, is it done with tantal as well?


also I remember that stun was supposed to be it's vulnerability and that if tantal had stun resist, they were bugged.


does anyone remember this? can anyone confirm that stun is supposed to be in the base resists?

BTW forget the Janta..... Seen some people posting about 10% Rancor hide, 25% Tantel / 20% NS layer / 10% Rancor > 35% slice=

How many RIS pieces have you made Gaffer? Have you even done the quest? Does knowing the exact requirements for a tantal peice make you the new armor guru?


wow, you are so smart, I think I will come to you with all my questions when I make my next set of armor. You must be the best seeing that you have such a wealth of knowledge about tantal layers.

I've done the RIS quest, but this thread isn't about RIS. I've done all the armors except chitin on quite a huge scale. Expert? No. However, before I flame the crap outta someone, I do at least make sure I know what I'm talking about, and if I don't, I look it up

PS Padded takes 2 layers as well...
