Honestly, the named resources might not be such a big deal. There's always going to be Tatooinian Wooly. You're not going to need to wait to see if Banthas spawn on the server next time around or not.
Plus, when you mine resources for composite, well, 7 of 8 species can wear it. Wookiees are only 1 species, and a relatively low % if I recall correctly. I know I'm happy to help hunt for my armor's resources.
