Definately RIS. A little overkill for comp because of there worth.

But composite is better than RIS...

Why do people not make more uber composite with things like this, rather than an armour that, while rare, is basically glorified ubese?

It'd be sort of like a weaponsmith getting a set of 10 +100 damage Nightsister vibro motors and making 5 NS energy lances out of them, rather than VKs.

60+ layers for composite. not including schematics. same size stacks nightmares, i failure and it will set you way back

sure comp don't have vul to acid. way to much work

A guildie picked up a set of 9 identical 10% base NS Layers (I know I know...I was tempted to talk him into giving them to me for free)...what would be the best use for them and how much are they worth?

I would use it in Tantel. Find a Rancor hide with similar %, and see how high a stun helmet I could make.

I don't see any reason to use it in composite, you can get maximum quality composite (like 40% stun 90% base) just byusing janta hide and good slice. And 80/80 R.I.S is always impressive , nobody goind to use it for PVP anyway.

The only possible reason to make RIS with these layers would be to get more pieces out of the set - although, if you used more than one of this layer set per RIS piece like people seem to be suggesting, you'd actually get about the same number of RIS pieces out of the set as you would composite pieces. But I still ask, why make more pieces of a lower quality armour when you could make a few of a higher quality armour for less cost?

Ya wanna know the real reason...2-3mil per RIS piece unsliced vs 200-300k for uber comp piece unsliced.
