armorsmith..

(I am both) unless you are harvesting on several peoples lots...making lots of stuff as an architect is hard.....and it isn't customizable like armor is. Two big reasons for me to go with armorsmith.

Depends on which kind of crafting you wanna do. To do the best Arch stuff you only need to have a few quality resources but A LOT of grinding stuff. Not so many different factory runs etc.

To do the best AS stuff you need 20+ quality resources just for doing different layered composite. Add Ubese and the others to that... A suits of composite is at least 1 factory run of layers, 1 of segments and 9 of the different pieces.

AS is more dynamic as the end result has more variables. Noone buys a 12 BER heavymineral when there's a 13 BER next door (at least I think so...), but with armor you have base resists, special resists and ham to consider. And different buyers prefers different things.

And the end result of armor can be evolved, and people take interest. I dont know many who cares that their local Arch just experimented his hopper to hold 121K instead of 119K... But when your local As manages to raise his/her composite base from 68 to 70 or their kinetic ubese from 73 to 77, that makes ppl interested.

I dunno how many times this has been said, but Pilot Skill Trees will not require skill points, the devs want EVERYONE to have the ability to fly

Yes, the skill points for the pliot professions will be drawn from a seperate pool. Only the ship crafting profession will draw from the points you have now.

Last I heard, the Dvs haven't said how the skill pints for JTLS will work. They were leaning toward a set of SP's useable only in the new professions, but hadn't decided. Don't believe anything anyone says until something official comes out. I personally believe they will use a separate set of SP's because they want people to be able to use the expansion to the fullest extent.

Well i have seen a screenie of a guy that has mastered the Pilot profession, and has novice medic, and has 235 Skill points remaining.

So we can only assume that 250 - 15 (for nov medic) = 235

therefore he mastered pilot without spending a single skill point from his SWG original pool. Either we get a new pool for JTL or spending the £20 ($30 or whatever it would be over there) to buy the game is enough for SOE to give us pilot for free

Actually read the E3 Rumor Control post. It specifically says that piloting skills will come from seperate points and the ship crafting profession will come from the points we have now. You will need the Engineering tree in Artisian to advance to it.

Since they fixed the Droids, would it be easier to get Investigation II when I have enough XPs or should I still do the 10000 XPs and then get Investigation II?
