I'm not paying 200 cpu. I've told every ranger to go find another AS. But there seems to be a significant number of them on the server wanting 200 cpu for good hide.

My point is, people complain about high armor prices but turn around and try to sell us the resources at ridiculous costs.

Hmm, i never charged that much for hides, the best spawns the most i ever charged was 50cpu, that was for amazing yavin wooly hide.

But anything else, the prices always fell into the 20-35cpu range.

Meats however sold for higher prices, mainly because the doctors and chefs tried to outbid each other to get more rangers to hunt for them, it wasnt rangers that made 100cpu standard for amazing avian meat, it was competition between doctors that rose prices to those insane prices.
However, after the CU now that great amounts of organics can be harvested in short periods of time, i can see prices for organics dropping.

I'd rather not be sitting in theoutpost on Dathomir waiting for the 2 crafters to come through for the day so I can apply camo to them.

With +100 camo I used up 4 camo kits on myself going to the village and back today. Next time I go out, I will try it with +125 camo from clothes, and then after that I'll try it with +146 from clothes and food. I don't expect results to improve much.

You'll look really professional when your client has to use 4 camo kits to get from the outpost to the village and back. I know I'm not planning on sitting around waiting for 2 or 3 crafters a day to come by wanting a camo kit.

Then they deserve all the information as it's currently known.

Camo kits cannot be applied at the same time as Mask Scent.

At the moment, as it has been for a good long while, Camo will break more often than Mask Scent. It is bugged, but it would seem that someone doesn't want to admit that an error was made in the CU conversion of skills and creature AI.

I think its cool that the camo kits are usable by anyone now. I can see it will definitely help my crafter get around when I dont want to bring my main character online for protection. Also gives rangers a reason to create the camo kits again.

Another reason to craft them beside the options we already had:

- Applying them to ourselves

- Applying them to other...

We now can sell them?

With NO vendors and only bazaar at our disposal?

Let me see here... Tatooine, Lok, Naboo, Rori, Corellia, Dantomir, Endor, Dathomir, Yavin, Kashyyyk.

That's about 10 planets. Woopy. With a 25 item vendor limit, it would mean we can sell about TWO friggin camo kits PER planet on EACH planet.

Don't expect ME to be RESTOCKING on a daily basis.

Alternative: sit down at every starport and spamming to sell kits? No way. I'm a RANGER nota merchant.

Yes, some rangers already DO sell kits, traps and other sorts of things because they made an agreement with a Merchant/Artisan to sell those items for them. Good for them, for them there is an additional market now. For those who used the kits in RP-ing and helping out guildies, fellow citizen or just in general because they could, this change is a slap in the face.

How about rangers quit charging 200 cpu for good hide?

*grumpy today*

I prefer to negotiate. I mostly ask an as what they would pay for a kind of hide or when I get request what they do want to pay. I'm a RANGER, not a merchant; I have (RP) no idea about pricing and do not care that much for credits.

For a BE to get them special items or help (camo!) when going for sampling creature I might use and the correspoinding petstims (as I'm also a CH). To exchange food and clothing in return for resource. For me the Ranger lifestyle does not cover the need for money except for weapons, because WS don't seem to need Ranger resources. Hmm that just gave me an idea... Why was I never asked by a WS to join them in group and help him to find some good spots for harvesters while keeping him safe with my camo kits.

Instead of looking at the ONLY usefullness we COULD have in a GROUP (after all the CU has become all but CL and grouping) it is going to be taken AWAY!!!!

/RP on;

What is the worth of every creature's life that I ended to bring you these resources?

/RP off;

. . . . . . .. . or is it?

A plague must be dealt with.

I try not to kill a creature (using maskscent/camo) when not needed.

Although I have respec'd my alt doc to a ranger to support my crafter, If there is enough of a voice of approval from rangers out there and IF ranger applied buffs are only 10% better than non-ranger (like docs) then I would consider giving up ranger and taking up the services of dedicated Master Ranger.

As it is, I am puzzled by the lack of enthusiasm in the ranger forums. If this is implimented properly, i.e ranger applied buffs significantly more powerful and longer lasting than self applied ones then it will be very beneficial to dedicated crafters.

I forsee 2 uses:

For regular planets with short runs: Crafters see mobs around their harvesters, applies buffs and does his business.

Ranger applied buffs. Contact ranger through PM or sees in starport and both go to dangerous planet like Dathomir where ranger applies camo. More expensive but longer lasting and effective but it beats dying to creatures. It doesn't do anything against NPCs and that is why I had asked for level increases for crafters but this is better than nothing. PSGs may mitigate the damage too and you can always lead away the melee type of NPCs except the ones that do force damge (NS and such).

My only suggestion there is not to drop harvesters in their area.

I'm sorry to break in here as well.. Consider the following:
