Thread: XP Problems
Just got back from Endor with a group of 3 to 5 peeps at diferent times.
The highest combat levels were 80 and we all took level 78 to 79 missions.
XP was coming in 3k to 5k a kill. A few incaps but no deaths.
Solo trying to kill creatures just below my level was possible but no where
near as good xp as a group.

Grey = 1 xp.
Green =A Few More but not alot
Blue = Full XP
White = Same Level as you and full XP
Yellow = One Level above you and XP is about half of what you would get for Blue and White
Red to Purple = Instant Death and cloning will be needed.
Nope, it's buggy. I have been killing White MOBs and getting 1 XP sometimes and other times I get 5K XP. Pisses me off seriously![]()
Also I have noticed, before I attack a MOB it's level 80, when I attack it though it drops about 50 levels, also pisses me off!
No the bugs are not connectted either, they are 2 seperate situations that cost me my XP![]()

You can get missions from any player city mission terminal that are around your level.
Badger, is this something specific to player city mission terminals, not non-player city terminals like in Theed? I have been trying without success to find any mobs that con blue or white to me. I've tried running missions (both destroy and faction missions)off the Theed and Mos Eisley mission terminals, and I've driven my swoop all over Tatooine and large areas of Dathomir. I haven't tried a player city terminal yet.
About 95% of the mobs I encountered conned gray, so I can't get any more than 1 XP off anything (very frustrating!). The only ones that didn't were some Nightsister Rangers that conned purple. Even Tusken Warlords and Adolescent Krayts are conning gray to me. I had to temporarily drop my master pistoleer box to respec some hard-to-grind skills in other professions, so my combat level is only around 67 right now, and I'm looking for a mob type that will give me good pistol XP to get me back up to MP.
Any suggestions from anybody would be appreciated.

OK, xp works like this... forget con colours.
For every level that your target is above your combat level, you receive a 10% bonus to xp.
For every level that your target is below your combat level, you receive a 10% reduction to xp.
I did some testing on how much xp you can get and killed a cl 82 mob when I was cl 67 and still got around 5k xp, so it is capped now... I found that killing mobs two levels above your level yields max xp, particularly when combined with entertainer inspiration buffs which add 10% to xp gain, so that it is like putting a 1 level boost on every mob you kill.
Player city mission terminals are bugged and give out missions to match your level, so use them... grouping with other players causes the lair to spawn more mobs, and you all get the same xp... no longer damage based so you can get a few friends together and go kill cl82 sharnaffs from the saftety of a correlian player town of your choice. Ormachek chef buffs also still give a 5% xp boost.
I was doing a fair bit of testnig on this as Chimaera gets 4x xp on Monday to compensate for the rollback, so thats 20k weapon and 2k combat for a sharnaff, my guild and I are ready to go, I should be able finish my FS grind in one day hopefully, although I'm not going to jedi I just want to have it all banked.
Hey MetalWolf,
It's quite possible it's a bug. It's seems that some bugs are affecting some while it's not affecting others. Things like the disappearing waypoints, toons size changing and the XP problem like yours. It may also have to do with your CL. I'm still trying to figure this all out. If it is a bug I'm sure it will be fixed. Sorry your not doing as well as others.
You can pretty much assume that any mob over cl 82 is unbalanced, like the CL 226 Dark Nova Trooper I had a pop at... I could solo these with Pistoleer pre CU, now they 1 hit me.
Hopefully they will get balanced.

You can still solo in this game, but for us Pistoleers its single creatures combat now when soloing. If you pull more than one, your going down.
Your post was good, I just disagree with this one line about being able to solo. I really don't consider the game now soloable. Yes I can get a mission around my level (Currently 65) and I can kill creatures at my level, but it's sooooo slow, with so little XP per hour, and so much downtime, and so much extra danger that no matter how smart you play or what tactics you use the sologamejust doesn't seem doable anymore.

As Pablokadman hassaid and others will soon figure out. Grouping is the way to go. My XP was also between 3 and 5K. I didn't keep track pre-CU but I seem to be about the same post-CU. Could be a little better or a little worse. But the difference is so little that I really can't tell there's a big change. But right now I really don't have any room to complain.
I won't be grouping, no matter what, I hate grouping.
