the best recon armortype is Tantel


cause a full set of Tantel has 7 pieces with a max of 7 x 4 = 28 sockets ( + 7 x 50 = 350health)


of cours Ubese looks better but you can only get a max of 20 sockets on it cause it lacks the bicep parts ( max +250health)


Mabari (12 sockets and max +150 health)


Mabari can be fully ADKed with only 3 ADKs

My vote goes for primus layered, or half primus/half kinetic layered

one thing you MUST realize is that capping the segments AND cores is practically impossible. I got my segments up to 94% experimentation and 84% on the cores. I still only get 5700/5700/5700 onunlayered battle armor (caps on unlayered battle armor is 6000/6000/6000). Also, 60% of the resources i used were the best spawns ever on the server. The others all had stats above 900 (on the segments) and 800 on the cores (things like dathomirian fiberplast, talusian fiberplast, nabooian bristley hide...they just don't get THAT good of spawns ever, let aloneTHAT often). I've spent 25 million credits in the past two weeks trying to get the best resources available and this is the best i can do. I feel that many people don't appreciate how hard it is to make armor. I get tells from people saying 'Those stats suck.' and it angers me. i'm not upset at you or anything. i'm just trying to say that some of these posts people right make it sound like capped armor is no big deal but it is.When you look for armor, please be fair to your armorsmith

What about resists?

(we are talking of "jedi hunter" suits but of "the best PvP recon armor" here)

Quad energy: any kinetic is deadly for you

Quad primus: not bad (7500E/5500K/5500B) but PSG is a small increase in energy resist (from 7500 > 9900)

Quad kinetic: 6000E/6000K/6000B and PSG is a decent increase (from 6000 > 8400) ... perhaps a bit weak but very wellbalanced.





It does not work like that. The psg does not add to the armor's energy protection, rather, it acts as an additional outer layer. IE, the energy shot is first resited by the psg, then the remaining damage is resisted by the armor. Due to the way diminishing returns works, this method actually blocks more damage than if it were additive.
