Imp PSG schematic and MK3 are almost identical. The same resources are used, but I think the quantities are just a hair different.

Tycho,
PSGs do protect against LS damage. The resist was tested and DOES work. There is currently a bug that caused the stat to shift from effectiveness to vulnerability. There is currently a fix in the works to rectify the problem.

ubese is handy for protecting yourself at factories when you are unbuffed
Since my main problem is tuskens, i like to use a high energy PSG.

I currently used Krayt Composite made from Krayt Segements which now are VERY plentiful. Find yourself some 30% + segements and make some comp. I have a 5 piece set that is all sliced to 80% + base and is lighter than normal comp as you aren't using crafted layers. I can wear a full 5 piece suit without buffs and keeps me alive in a pinch.

I need to protect my crafting character out in the boonies ... he has no combat skills except for a little marksman pistols. I can run from most stuff but have a problem when I find a great place to put a harvester but a lair is in the way. The character has armor but most lairs are still a problem. Would a PSG with high kenetic resists help? And if so, what should I look for statwise for a really good PSG? I just gotta stay alive long enough to get rid of the lair and that can take some time with a scout blaster ... even a good scout blaster! Thanks for any suggenstions. By the way, I'm not in favor of getting buffed every time I go out to survey

Thanks for the info folks ... now, I have Ubese armor but do not know the stats. I have tried comp armor but without stat migration, which I do not want to do, I can't wear it. Are you saying that if I check around, I might be able to find comp armor with light enough HAM costs I might be able to wear it without buffs? Man, the ideal crafter solution would be to give us more skill points but that ain't gonna happen

- Do Imperial Prototype PSG's still craft with the +10 General Ranged Accuracy/+10 General Melee Accuracy?
- Do Imperial Prototype PSG's still craft with the same or very comparable stats to "standard" PSG's?
- How much do you sell "standard" PSG's for?
- How do you recommend and/or how do you experiment when crafting your PSG's?
If anybody knows, or is willing to part with the answers to these questions I would be much obliged.
Btw, PSG's take too long to cook in a factory - 8.5min each? Sheesh.

1) Yes
2) Slightly higher stats. Slightly.
3) There's a thread on this topic that's still on the first page, I think.
4) Max energy protection and dump the rest of your points into recharge. Who cares about condition? They can buy another one (don't anyone mention la cucaracha una). The exception is the Imp PSG. I dump extra points into condition there since people will want it to last as long as possible so they can keep the mods a little longer. I might dump all points into condition on one of them for a longer lasting PSG. It might decay quicker with lower protection, however. No one's really sure how armor decay works post CU.
