Thread: Imperial Faction Armor FP Costs

Figuring you can swing a deal with a Smuggler and buy faction at 110 per point, it'd cost you about 2.87 million to get enough FP for a whole set. Divide that by 10, and you get about 287k per suit. Round that up to, say, 300k or 350k per full suit, and that's still a lot cheaper than the 2 million or so it took to buy a full suit of Stormtrooper armor pre-CU. And it's useful now.
I'm willing to bet people will pay upwards of 500k easily for a set of this armor now, which should leave you with a reasonable profit.
Gonna cost a lot more than that. Need to pay for the tom of resources that go into it.
Any humans want to check out the FP costs on these schematics? ![]()
I think they should be about half this cost... damn racial penalties...

Solution? Make the schematics infinite use.
I dont think selling faction armour 500k a set is very fair.
Where do you see anyone selling these at 500K. My cost is over 500K per suit to make these. Admittedly I spent more than I should have on my faction, but I wanted to test it. I'm setting my price at 1.2mil per suit.

Holy crap...thats about double what I estimate it costs me to make it and a small % profit.

My faction alone cost me 318K per suit. Because I had to use resource kits for all my hides they cost me another 175K. The rest of the resources were negligable.

umm dude, it takes resources, so it is cost of resources/time +350k
so more like 800k-2 mill
Oh yeah, I forgot the resources part, my bad. ![]()
Was trying to do the math based on just the schematics, since I'm in the business of selling FP, not making armor. ![]()
So what exactly does the resource cost look for these pieces anyways?
So much for getting these suits at a reasonable price...
Bio-linking it cost quitea bit more. One of the coolest parts of TC waspeople running around in factional armor. Bio-linking needs to be cut WAY down. Like maybe 100fp per piece, total! (fixed price). And why not.... no one else can wear it afterwards anyway. The cost of the schems should be around 1k per piece for 10 runs OR we should be able to do factory runs. JMHO

Ok... as a zabrak... this is what I'm paying on a world that has a current GCW status of 631 Imperial 119 Rebel
(prices are the same for all 3 armor types)
Left Bicep2754 750
Right Bicep 2754 750
Boots 688 (forgot, sorry)
Left Bracer 2754 750
Right Bracer 2754 750
Chest Plate 5508 1500
Gloves688 (forgot, sorry)
Helmet2754 750
Leggings2754 750
Utility Belt2754 750
Total 26162 faction points... for ten uses of each schematic... no factory runs
This is still way too high for the number of uses we get...
I dunnomaybe they can build a delegate feature into the merchant terminals, where you charge both money and faction points

Well that all depends on what the customer wants out of the suit....
If I make unlayered its 33 segments + 11 cores + the appearance resouces (which are inorganic for ST armor thankfully)
For just the segments you're looking at 5x33=165 units of premium organic (leathery/scaley/wooly hides)
Cores.... assuming only advanced are used, 45x11=495 units ofNAMED premium organic (lok leathery/naboo bristley/dant wooly hide)
and thats for unlayered armor.... so basically for GOOD segment hide you're looking at 15-150cpu... (im assuming all that non-dantooine wooly hide we accumulated before the cu will be used in battle segments... some went for 150cpu)
so basically 2.5k-25k for the segments for just the organics
Now cores... planet specific organics are very difficult to get people hunting(excluding dant wooly), you really have to toss money around. I didnt even have any naboo bristley so I was forced to use resource crate(s) on it.... so it cost ME 120cpu (on average)
I got my good dant wooly for 75cpu, and my lok leathery for 30cpu.
so 15k-75k for the organics in the advanced cores....
Keep in mind, this is just for the organic components....
the rest of the suit uses like 5000 units of NAMED inorganics... some of which most armor smiths didnt stockpile, so they had to be purchased from weaponsmiths or the resource bandits. (some of who are practicing price gouging... 50cpu for vintrium extrusive? get real)
Smith cost of the inorganics can range from .25cpu (self mined, large harvester farm) to 150cpu (resource deeds), with no easily calculated average cost.
AND THIS IS FOR AN UNLAYERED SUIT.
If you use layers you use 4x33=132 layers.... which each use anywhere from 56-81 inorganics each.... and in the case of the advanced layers they are all NAMED inorganics.
so 7500-11000 inorganics ON TOP OF the basic unlayered suit..... for what? 600-1200 additional protection
I think 2m is easily justified for layered faction armor.
