With the recent merchant changes, I opted for skills in that area instead. You can always find a taylor.

My ingame fiance ended up becoming a tailor (mostly for her love of clothes, but partially for my love of cloth) so I get all the RFB and synth cloth I could want for free

I have been anarmorsmith since launch and i was a tailor for awhile as well with armorsmith however i dont think it is necessary.

It is hard to buy a decent amount of supplies some times so i just buy schematics and run them in my factories. It has always worked best for me.

I actually like being a 0200 tailor...i have 9 factories and i make m own, they only take a day or so to make so it doesnt slow me own to much. My tmplate is master merchant, master artisan, master armorsmith, 0200 tailor and pistols 4...so i feel i can still do ok dropping harvs

Most tailors don't seem to have the hang of experimentation so much (since they don't need it) and usually don't have 12 points. That's why I got Master Tailor for myself so I could make high-quality padding for my hunting armor. Too bad I had to drop it to get Master Merchant after the vendor revamp.

I do the exact same thing. Factory time for a full run of SCs and RFPs is trivial when you keep 8-9 factories up and running with layers, segments, and pieces.

If you cater to the mass-market and make/sell a LOT of armor, or go through spurts of frenzied crafting so as to keep a big stock (as I do), you generally come to the realization that you have to be asself-sufficient as possiblein order to follow your time table.

Credits aren't the issue. Time and space constraints are.
