Thanks for the answer, Asir. I think i'll test it a bit together with friends and then i'll change to the set with 50% of the HAM coststhe old one had..

It works for PVE and PVP, but !
-Skirts create armor holes (whoever coded this whole thing ought to be hanged)
-Nightsister Bicep is considered armor and will create an armor hole.
Tanking anything from SBD's to Ancient Krayts wearing Helm/Chest/Boots/Gloves
/CamoPants/Undershirt/Belt

It works most of the time. Where it does not work is high end dungoens where the mobs use specials. A high end corsec mob on the corvette using fanshot will clip you for 4k if you have no armor on your arms and that is not a happy event.

I had a nightsister force lightning ignore my armor when wearing a 4 piece comp suit - thinking that it might not count as electric since it is a force attack...
Aside fromt hat, just the occsional odd special from hiogh level npcs as Vrond said, but this is a very rare event.

Well, I ground out all the way to 4000 Guardian with a 4 piece suit pre-publish 9. If you know how old school Jedi grinding was, basically you went and sat in the middle of a Bull Rancor lair, got as many on top of you as you could and then did an AOE attack.
If someone can think of a better test than 15-20 Bull rancors over a 4 month period, I'd like to hear it.
Post Pub 9 I tank Ancient Krayts in a 4 piece suit.

they don't use weapon specials tho the stuff in pve that getts through is strafeshot2 from an SBD or a high end NPC with fanshot these will both hit your arms and likely one shot inc you unless your buffed like a god and have synthsteak. I have never been hit in 4 piece armor by an npc not using a ranged attack. The SBD hit for well over 4k and does this consistantly. if not for force of will and a fast FD I would have died every time.
