Thread: Patch 20 and NO FIXES!

look I want it fixed as much as the next guy, but you can't say that your profession's bug is any more important or easier to fix than another or should get priority.
the devs said that they are doing a better balance of realocating team memebers to work on live and fixing current stuff rather than having so many people working on new content, what more do you want? it isn't about making YOU happy it is about making the game better, and they are trying
seriously, if they could fix it, they would have (see dev post about the BE enhancements not getting fixed)
Granted that AS is no more important than any other profession but lets look at where the priorities of the devs are and see what they fixed.
Galagtic Gifts - No bugs fixed. This is a non-fix change
Vet Rewards - Non-fix
Entertainer - 1 fix and 6 non-fixes
Other Correspondent and Fan Fest changes include: - 3 fixes and 5 non-fixes
Profession: Bounty Hunter - 1 Fix and 6 non-fixes
Profession: Scout - 2 Fixes and 1 non-fix
Profession: Jedi - 1 fix and 3 non-fixes
Changes to Phase 4 of Captain Sarguillo's Quest: Force Village - 4 non-fixes
Combat - 1 non fix
Player Structures - 1 non-fix
UI -2 fixes and 3 non-fixes (1 fix wasn't even live)
Galactic Civil War (GCW) 4 non-fixes
Quests / Loot - 3 non-fixes
Kashyyyk - 1 fix or new content?
AI - 3 fixes, 3 non-fixes
New Player Tutorial - 1 non-fix
Misc - 3 fixes and 1 non-fix
Totals? (If I added correctly) 44 non-fixes and 17 fixes
Question... did the total bug count go down or up? (Someone can go count them all but on the 1st page of bugs I saw 3. Lets assume it is constant at 3 bugs per page. There are 5 pages so that would be 15 new bugs introduced.)

dont get me wrong, i like entertainers a lot but was it really more important to make duel weild a bigger priority than fixing problems in game? there are some seriously game breaking problems that are not just this profession which should have taken priority over something like this or "fixing sounds" from the TC patch notes.
seriously stop making NEW things for a little while and fix the old ones. the bugs from pub 20 have been voiced on TC for over a week and it still gets pushed live. every single publish breaks more than it fixes.

its like someone said in another post. "jedi crafting is having the same problems as AS and all other crafters right now" so we should have a hotfix in the very near future, cause we all know next to BH's, jedi whine the most /giggle

can you verify that your boxes in options/interface were checked for the attributes you were wanting averaged? Cycled them all off his done then rechecked them by chance? Just trying to give ideas here since I cant try myself atm
Yes, i tried checking/unchecking and just got weird results. The only thing that seemed to change when the average would display would be if i used that particular resources in a combine. Even then, it was random chance whether it would show up in both the tool and inv, or in one or the other...

Starting to feel like the game is being held together by the digital equivalent of baleing wire, duct tape and chewing gum.
Slim Vargo, Corbantis
that is what they are using

i hate these self righteous comments. if a guy wants to b!tch, he's intittled to. we all pay money to play a game that works and not one the is all bugged up. for every step forward they are taking 2 steps back. all the jedi and bh's are getting all the attention while less popular professions are getting the shaft. new content is great for the game but they need to fix crap along the way and not just put things on the back burner.
and sir u are foolish to if u believe everything they say is true.
really didnt feel like typing this up again so here it is from another thread.... just trying to get the info out

Are mostly display issues. I think they honestly tried to work on something for AS in this publish, and failed. Now stat display for final combine armor is now bugged the same as for primus layers, doesn't show up during experimentation. I didn't test segments or cores but I suspect they have this same issue as well. got nuthin except frustration here
oh yeah and bug # 2, stacks of resources aren't showing as accurate (stacks of 100k that are actually less than 100k) Are these resources that were in your inventory when you logged in? I had no 100k stacks on me at logoff last night before it went live and all of them show 100k and 100k in details
#3: The cntrl-o option under interface that allows you to see the average between selected stats on a certain resource (say oq/sr for example) no longer functions at all. The numbers don't show up, period. Again Are these resources that were in your inventory when you logged in? The ones that were in my inventory would not show averages HOWEVER the ones in storage on my vendor and laying around the house DO. I also attempted to drop the items in my inventory and pick them up as well as put them into a vendor and retrieve them. no dice. I left them in a backpack with some other resources before I logged for the night (ones in pack also show averages) so I'm hoping that logging back in with them being off my toon's inventory will correct this. CONFIRMED! dropping the bugged resource in a house and logging out and back in will correct this for resources that were in your inventory when the pub went live!
There really needs to be a shift in the programming philosophy here, they say they've added more people to live issues yet we see problems compounding problems, and we know from the track record of SOE that there are never enough hours allocated to the devs for debugging. This is something that needs to change or even the people with extreme patience are going to hit the trail.
