Armorsmith Archive
Thread: Someone posted this comment in Sunrunner--for real?
Honestly, I the chances of our components getting restored is very slim.
They have been converted. 3%, 5%, 11%, they are all the same. 10%, 35%, 42%, they are all the same. There is no way of tell them apart now.
Good luck though, you fight hard enough... we might come to love you too. ![]()

I don't know why you are kidding yourself Calie. Where have you been the last 18-22 months? SOE has a proven track record... loot components were converted "correctly".
Does anyone really think that our loot components have some "magical" hidden value on them? No. They have been made worthless. What you see is what you got. That's how they were converted. Even if they did had some "magical" hidden value, armor components are so far down on the developers TODO list they won't be fixed. Simply put, the CU was rushed; this is what we have to work with. We got screwed.
Our profession was wrecked; time to pick up the pieces and move on. Be it a new game, or a new profession, we need to move on... but this armorsmith is going to move on very loudly and very bitterly.
Renea,
Whether they were supposed to convert or not, that was a very unproffesional response by the CSR. If he/she couldnt do anything to fix the loot, there are numerous ways to respond to the player in a more professional manner.
FYI- good job to our correspondent to look into this.
it's a miss read/ write.
didn't mean as the armor to be useless. Just some things work in CU somethings won't.
like all my blast segs for one :/

/shrug What do I know?
like he said...there's something strange with that SS imo
But if it's true.. *shakes fist*
edit: darn..why they nerfed firefox too?i don't even remember the right words for smileyes >_<

Renea,
They still have the old DB, and judging from the posts by AviStetto other stuff will be "reconverted later".

Renea,
There is actually by using the export that was made prior to implementing the CU. Performing the proper conversion on the components and then updating the existing database. Hella lot of processing time though.

What do you want? The guy was wrong.
Honestly, I heard that the CSRs are outsourced from India...so when I read that reply, I just assumed that "I am through" meant the same as "I am done reviewing"
When Caile said, "the statement was incorrect," that only reinforced my suspicions.
