LOL, my 'workshop' is also a mess. I've got stacks of misc components, a couple craft stations, misc personal armor/weaps i don't use often, a variety of segments/enhancers, i have no idea when i'm gonna use, plus all my survey tools. gawd, for such an organized person such as myself, i sure have a disorganized character... One day i'll sort everything out but it seems like i never have the time to do so.
What's this about 'combining OQ and SR'? I wonder if i'm already doing that, since i have OQ and SR checked in the options but only one number is displaying on the resource..
That does seem like a really good idea though about setting up 'containers' in your shop and and just placing the specific items in each container. Problem is, is that I have this facination about keeping a bunch of resources on me 'in case' someone asks me if I can build them something while i'm on the road...

Turning on both of those Averages them both. The average (OQ+SR / 2) is the number that is displayed.

More awesome ideas, guys! Thanks. I really like that I can use satchels and cargo pockets to help organize. GAWD, all i have in my 'resources' pack is just a mess of every resource that can be used in armor. I have this nasty habit of picking up resources from vendors/bazaar if there are like 1k of em (hides/bones) regardless of quality, cause i just might be able to use em for grinding...

heh, you sound just like i was, i had resources and items all over my houses and i was constantly full and losing things..

i think organization is the key here.

personally i have packs on the walls neatly labelled with only my used resources , i prefer to have lots of bags with defined resources inside such as stunplate kinplate ubesespec etc, i also have a pack with 1 crate of synth, 1 crate fppanel and 1 crate reinforced f/p, i also have some cabinets with shared resources in (iron, polymers etc) i must stress that i keep only the minimum in the packs and the cabinets as space is a massive issue in a/s (for me).

what i found that made things 100% easier was dropping a storage vender in my work area. i store all spare resources, extra crates, ris components and stacks of resources by simply selling at 99999999

i have found the vender as being an invaluable storage tool.

whenever i craft i pick up the pack needed (my 11 point suit is stored in a droid btw ) and as soon as i finish i methodically replace all my tools and crates in the same place.. like you i used to carry alot of resource on me in case someone asked me to make something "on the road" but unfortunately, i find that my back pack is 50 full of food, drugs, guns powerups, droid batteries, repair kits, and other essentials.. my inventory i like to keep empty ready for the lovely loots, hides and vender buys i come across whilst on aforementioned road. heh

Currently I have 2 houses just full of resources, and little else... In each I then have packs with names like Colat, KSPF, Metal, Stun resources, Kinetic resources..... You get the idea...

I keep very high value items in the bank (aka 12 point suit) and everyday grind items / toolsin a back pack on me... I keep my main inv empty as a work area / carry things about etc, also as I need to equip a bando for the 12 point suit, when making schems I have to put my backpack into the main inv.

My alt has a small house I use for storage of low value items - and as a general dumping ground - transfer if items between me friends (only my main has admin on the two other houses - nothing going to make me change that)

I have two factorys where I use both the input and output hoppers for storage, aka synth cloth is stored in the input hoppers, and I keep a couple of runs of layers / segments in the output hoppers in case of a sudden surge in business - I can crack out some goods instantly....

Seems to work so far..
