Thread: Resource shifting

Okay then...can a single resource shift off of a single planet...while remaining on others?
Thanks!
Yes, they can. But only for a rather short time, like 1-2 days (guesstimated)

Ive tracked resources,, daily for over a year and have never seen one go in 1-2 days.. period.. like i tell everyone.. its more than likely you missed it.. and you say well swg craft says soo.. well then id gaurenty that is the case. Though a resource can despawn sligthly sooner or later on different planets its not around for more than a day more at most.
I believe Atan was referring to them shifting off one planet, and remaining on another. I have seen that myself. It'll shift off one planet, but stay on another for a day or two, then it shifts out too.

I've seen a lot of variance in the length of spawns since I started. That intrusive did not last 7-8 days.
I've seen some highly suspect shifts of ore, after JTL introduction. It might be related to the way JTL resources shift in. When the new planet for a JTL resource is selected, itseems to be able toboot another similar resource regardless of the remaining "minimum" life of the resource.
With respect to the accuracy of data on SWGCraft, the old maxim "garbage in, garbage out" applies. SWGCraft is voluntarily updated by players. On some servers, only a small handful of people bother to do it. Some planets tend not to get covered adequately, many spawns are reported late, and some resources are never put in the data base at all.
