What would be the differance though if the price would be the same? Just a regular suit of armor, nothing special
Just trying to get some inside perspective

It's not about credits, bud. It's about the challenge of running a successful business in a free economy and striving toward creating the best product on your server. This is a game, which supposed to be fun. Traders will be locked out of 95 percent of the game's content by their lack of level and combat skills. About the only thing we can do is JTL and POI badges. What good is virtual cash if you can't play the game?
Another question players should ask is what will they do when they have nothing left to "get"? They'll all have the same templates with the exact same gear. Sure, you may get a cool new loot item but so will everyone else. Crafters added diversity. The was a time when crafters could make you something that was nearly unique, that would set you apart or give you an advantage. That time is gone. What will now differentiate you from the rest jedi, bounty hunter, and spy clones?

Thats why my question centered around a regular suit of armor, nothing special - no health enhancers etc.
A new player with a half-decent amount ofcash cant afford that +350 health RIS suit.
That suit is produced in a factory, so would the kits - so what would the differance be?

Mate, when this POS goes live, I envision the basic composite armor with 7k kin 5k energy 6k base stats costing 3 mil per suit. I might even be a little low. With these high prices no one can afford, the player base will cry and 1 of 2 things will happen. 1, soe will get smart and fix this mess(yea right) or more likely number 2. That is they will take the armor to npc providers which is what they are planning anyway.
But on to your topic, its a bad idea. Im not in it to benefit the player base to be honest. I was in armorsmithing for fun, and it just so happened my fun helped them. Why should we be helping them now when it will be 0 fun for us?

Because it's not just one suit of armor, it's eight styles of regular armor that can be made in variety of colors. I decide what to offer and stock, and I can set myself apart because I get to choose what I want to offer. Sure I have black ubese, but I also have blue, green, white, and brown. I have suits of black, blue, red, and gold composite. I make green chitin. They'll have to go somewhere else for brown or place a custom order.
By your plan, why bother with the suit of armor to begin with? Just make one deed for a complete suit of armor and let the buyer choose the style and color. It would reduce armor crafting to the level of making power ups, and that's essentially what the kits are. Sure there are custom layered suits I could make, but what do I do with my time while I'm waiting for someone to order one?
If you don't get the appeal of crafting, just take my word for it. It ain't the money
