Thread: Is anyone having fun anymore?
I'm an old hand at Armorsmithing having been one since the game launched and I'm still having fun.
I have fun experimenting with variouscore configurations (ie segments/layers)
I have fun actually stocking more than just composite for a change.
I have fun hunting down just the right resources.
I have fun haggling (ie BS'ing) with resource sellers, especially the critter resource sellers.
I have fun talking to customers and what not.
So yeah, I guess I'm still having fun 2 years later ![]()
I think 'fun' though is all in your mind. You can choose to have fun or not. It seems to be entirely up to you.
So .... What do you choose?

Although with jedi being the majority of the population now, I guess I can't blame them from a buisness perspective to try to keep the most people happy, but they forget that if you focus on one group of people and almost outright ignore everyone else it will bite you in the ass in the end. This game has turned into Lucas's hype machine, an expansion with every movie release (next expansion to be released simeltaneously with Revenge of the sith DVD) Everyone in the gaming industry knows that's a recipe for disaster for any liscensed game.

I've come to loathe logging on and filling orders, to the point where I've put off so many orders most people try to find another smith. Unfortatnetly for them there are only a small handful of smiths left on my server, as I'd say 75% of the previous smiths quit. I would say I was prolly 5th biggest smith before the CU, and all 4 above me quit. I am on the edge of quitting, if things don't change any time soon I prolly just gonna cancel both my acounts and declair the game a lost cause. I've hated the combat system since last december, and hated it more after the CU, so I am not interested in making a combat character. And TBH crafters have been hurt so bad in the CU it's like SOE doesn't want player crafters anymore, especially with how much support we get post-CU.

Give up Okram, its over man, we had our fun and the game is over. I'm going to spend my limited free-time war gaming. At least you know they wont be changing the rules on the drop of hat there.
Well, I guess this question is really a double edged sword to be honest.
I do have alot more fun now that I interact with my clients more. But this is the part thats the doubled edged sword, some expect their armors done yesterday, like it use to be. I had a customer put in an order for 350 health enhanced battle armor at 9pm, and at 10pm was asking me if it was done. So it can be a little frustrating.
With that said, if they would fix the crate colors bug, then I would be a happy camper. I like being an armorsmith and have been one since 10/03. I think being an armorsmith rocks, and dont mind alot of the new changes(well with the exception of limited loot drops on health enhancers).
I think once they fix the color crates, alot of the frustration with remove itself and then when we can actually have time to play our mains, it will be more fun.
Hi. I just reupped my subscription to this stupid game (wondered if anything had changed - not really.) I guess I have fun flying, decorating my house, making clothes. I make a few armor scraps using those dirty looted cores. Overall this profession is a mere shadow of it's greatness. Chapstick can go to Tatooine; Calie, well, just watch out for sudden stops by Chapstick.
Renea,
Soldier in the Army of Oa'kron,
yes. If I wasn't enjoying the game I would quit.
I thought I might not enjoy the CU at all, but I gave it a shot, and though there are a few things I would do differently, I'm still enjoying the game. But who knows what tomorrow will bring.
I don't know. I'm pi$$ed a lot but I keep playing.
I resent having to use an entertainer to compete, and since the latest pub haven't been able to find an online musician to do the buff.
I've only been smithing since March so I didn't have much expereince with experimentation to miss it or not miss it.
There is an odd part of me that feels special since there are so few working smiths (Sunrunner) and, for the most part, my customers have been very kind and loyal.
I think it's because I have invested a lot of time in the game and would consider it wasted if I quit.
SWG the crack of On-Line games.

Well, you can read my post on the stickied focus thread "factory ate my sock bug" to see that not only am I not having fun anymore, but, I just hung up myarmorsmith outfit for good.
Moving on to some other profession that is not as broken as this one.
