As far as I know only RIS and Mando are slated to becapable of being broken down and even then you only get your loot components back and any ADK's you may have used on them.
Mando would be in the death watch bunker and RIS would be the bothan on dantooine near the rebel base POI.

*Starts a run of 1000 prenerf socketed mabari boots* Now if only they could fix the conversion so factory crates work.

The bad news is that if you refit gloves or boots they do NOT keep their sockets. However if you do not refit them and leave them alone you ARE still able to put attachments into them.

I have a feeling that will tend to be a common thing.

Unfortunately, you'd have to do 1000 mabari boots, 1000 bone boots, and 1000 composite boots to fully cover the market ... you still have to be "certified" for the armor type, even for the boots & gloves. (Doesn't appear that you have to be certified for Ubese shirts / Ubese bandoliers / Mabari Belts though)

Or do ubese (recon), composite (assault), and padded (battle). Bone is just.... ugly
Dont forget the gloves too.
no need for advanced subcomponents either since the stats dont matter
