I started using my crafting stations for storage. They hold 100 items and it doesn't count as house inventory.

How reliable is this? I was thinking about doing that, but didnt dare if they somehow could dissapear..
How to use them (can be quite confusing):
1. open your crafting tool near a station
2. select any schematic and click next
3. select "input hopper" instead of "inventory"
4. drag items there from your inventory (or wherever you have the items you want to store)
5. close tool
To remove:
1. repeat steps 1-3 above
2. untick "filter items" if not already done
3. drag items from the input hopper to your inventory (double-clicking dont work)

Crafting Station Hoppers don't count towards house item count? That is new to me, I thought they used to.

I'm told that the key is the optional Droid Storage Component, and that many Architects neglect to add this component because they cannot produce it, it has no obvious effect, and many don't even know that it does anything. If your station was crafted with this component, then the contents of the station will not count against your house total.
...or so I'm told.

The crafting station hopper can do this but it is unreliable, sometimes the items count towards the volume in the structure and sometimes(usually) they don't.

Well I haven't tried putting anything in a hopper since March or April, when I noticed my hopper was counting towards my house. I think it should, else people could have 75 stations with hoppers in a small naboo style 2, holding tons of stuff. (Unless the hopper counts for all your stations)
