If they decide to moderate this thread I hope they delete the posts that are not relevant and keep the original one.

theyre not listening at all...this "CU" is not desired....we wanted our current game balanced andupgraded, not a completely different one.

Im not an armorsmith and didnt participate, but god bless the martyrs, at least someones fighting for us.

I can't imagine this will be the only incident, as the deadline approaches people will begin to rebel much more strongly, the old philosophy of "it doesnt matter if i'm loved or hated, as long as I'm feared" will no longer hold its weight, as with nothing left to lose, even a minimal gain is worth fighting for...soe can delete posts, and remove correspondants, even permaban....but that will only serve to accelerate the flop of the CU. we have been mislead, left hanging, and flat out lied to regarding the CU....we're not being listened to, our concerns are not being addressed, and we don't seem to matter to development

with a few exceptions, most graduates of kindergarten have better people skills then the folks who's salary we pay here

the good news, depending on how you look at it....lucasarts will not be pleased by this mismanagement, and SOE will pay the price

From what I gather, the Corresponandat became so frustrated with the lack of attention that he decided to use the community as a weapon against the devs.

While I understand the frustration, and I applaud the Correspondants passion for wanting to achieve change, I also recognize the tactic as being an abuse of the arraingement between Correspondants and Devs.

Therefore what I recommend is that the community takes this opportunity to get behind the new Correspondant and use your new spotlight to eek out a few pro AS changes in the CU. My advice for the new Correspondant would be to channel the feedback from the community and if you are passionate about championing a cause then you do so within the confines of your agreement with the Devs.

Pursue change. But make sure that the devs are listening. The trick there is that you don't have to be loudest to be be heard.

You have to understand - I'd say about 30% of the AS community is actually reasonable, based on observation.

Another 15% are in the middle, semi-reasonable, but would prefer to have the old system.

The rest are stubborn, obstinate, and don't want to adjust to a new system, because they like the old abuses so much.

As such, ANY new corropsondant will not be supported, and trying to get a consensus on ANYTHING will be impossible in the beginning. The bridge is too burnt for consensus-building. The new corropsondant needs to be able to steer the ship first, identify issues, work with the devs, and get results.

It is only until this community sees those results that it will start to snap out of it, and begin to be more helpful.

Yeah, it is sort of the tail wagging the dog, but make no mistake - that is precisely what is needed right now thanks to the mess okram put us in, communication-wise.

I told him the PM thing would be a disaster and an abuse of power...

And this better than you attituded is why yowu woule be such a plss poor pick for corr. (sorry i sorta like the bluntness cause like the bare said blunt is beautiful) but i fyou cant get your community behind you, and you will not like this, wht in the world would you be doing aside fomr exactly waht all those other spoof threads are sugesting??

The vast majority of us are reasonbable and will take any complicated system they give us that alows us to keep the variations in armor between smiths and techneques that we all seem to love. That is simply what makes this prof better than any of the others is that with the same resourecs and exp points 2 smiths can make totaly differant armor.

Helll i dont even care if they change all the resources i can get more i know how to run a harvie but let me have fun crafting othwise im moving on to something i can. I have a RL job and dont want to do another one at night

You sir, are an idiot. Of course we don't like the new system because it dumbs down crafting to a level my 3 year old cousin could FULLY comprehend. That's NOT why I picked up AS! I picked up AS because it was both challenging and allowed me to be creative. As for abuses of the old system, what the hell are you talking about? What abuses? It is NOT any abuse to be able to make triple 80% comp. It's not our fault the Dev's didn't figure out we could figure out how to do that eventually.

That is probably a whole lot closer to the truth than most of us would expect.

And if it's not this one it's some other account, TH has stated on more than 1 occasion that he uses an alt to post sometimes.

Believe me, I think Okram was a great corrospondant too - however, he REALLY dropped the ball in the end.
