Thread: who wants to crunch some numbers?
First, I'd like to thank Explorer_Jim for doing the legwork on the factory times post-CURB. Using the complexities provided, and keeping the +4 experimental complexity, I come up with some slightly different aggregate numbers for the hypothetical 20-suit run, though. (I assumed a 7-piece suit since boots and gloves are now merely cosmetic and unlikely to be included in most suit sales. I also included aggregate RFP/SC time, but this is at most only 36000 seconds worth of time.)
I think you added segment times for basic armor for all three scenarios. ![]()
Advanced
345.9 hours aggregate factory time
145.4 hours in a four-factory setup
Standard
241.9 hours aggregate factory time
103.8 hours in a four-factory setup
Basic
137.9 hours aggregate factory time
62.1 hours in a four-factory setup
So, let's compare the factory-hours required per suit of armor under the current system with those required in the new system ...
PvP Composite: 9.8
PvE Composite: 6.8
PvE Ubese: 2.8
BAS Cores: 6.0
STD Cores: 12.1
ADV Cores: 17.3
So, not only have our resources been doubled and our total production of top-end stock reduced by one-third, factory times have increased for the top-end armor by 75%.

all I can say is
current Ubese is 17 segs intotal. Correct me if am wrong ( I might be a tad over, and thinking of comp) with 3 layers of Kin. phewww...
1. at the rate you discribe unless I miss read, it would take some time to do any thing as an AS.
As to Retail price, I'm pricing 1 suit close to 250k. that's Pve, with just kin, no frils.
I'm assuming armor will be around the 150k to 250k. this is taking into account resources, time, and availability of said resources.

a price on 20 suits? I'd guess the number of resources, add in a zero. if it was a good set, go from there.

Ok....I'm just gonna throw up what I've paid recently on Lowca for my current resources (not the BEST on the server ever but pretty darn good). The Lowca numbers will be in Red....

Question #5: Pricing
Current Resource Pricing
Right now, I'm going to do something that I haven't done in a long time -- evaluate the resource cost of a single suit of my PV.5 Composite (ADV.3KL), much as appeared in the previous post. I'm going to price the resources as they would have been sold a month or two ago.
Phrik Al ... 15cpu ..... 10cpu ..... 25cpu
BeCu ... 15cpu ..... 8cpu ..... 20cpu
Intrusive ... 20cpu ..... 12cpu ..... 5cpu (just got an awesome spawn)
SPF ... 10cpu ..... 8cpu ..... 20cpu
Nab FP ... 25cpu ..... 20cpu ..... 30cpu
Wooly ... 90cpu ..... 135cpu ..... 100cpu
ColatFe ... 10cpu ..... 15cpu ..... 30cpu (Gagegace)
Kiirium Steel ... 5cpu ..... 10cpu ..... 20cpu
Polysteel Cu ... 5cpu ..... 10cpu ..... 100-150cpu (depends on the day)
Kammris Fe ... 5cpu ..... 7cpu ..... 5cpu
Amorphous ... 10cpu ..... 12 cpu ..... 5-10cpu
Polymer ... 15cpu ..... 5cpu ..... 10-15cpu
[RFP / SC resources are basically junk, I don't count them]
Total resource cost for a full suit? 72,275cr ..... 62,176cr ..... Don't know atm
Cheapest we have are the kiirium and colat, which go for about 5-10 cpu. Eveything else is a min of 20 cpu for the best.
Wow, that's counterintuitive. I was operating off the assumption that Advanced Cores required three identical segments and Standard Cores required two identicals.

p.s. Oh, and Brutus, since the segs don't need to be identical, I figured they could be run simultaneously in several factories for the standard and adv cores, hence taking the same time as the segs for the basic version. I think that's justified, please complain if its not![]()

I charge approximately 20-30K per piece and 65K for a 4 Piece Suit and approximately 200K for a full suit of 80Kin/80Elec/69Base Composite. Just to give you some comparison totals from another server.
Started posting this when you posted Okram...had to crunch some numbers...Will get my Piker outfitted in a brand new suit of 80 Energy on Live and give that a test to get some numbers...I have Maulers galore outside my house on Naboo all the time so should be relatively easy to get the numbers.

what the hell are the stats that you'd sell so cheap? Hell my 4 peice suits have been selling for 200k alone fairly well, or were before the CU docs were posted. 80 kin, 80 ele, 70 base with fairly low ham. My sliced chest plates sell for over 65k -_-
I sell 80/80/62 up to 80/80/69 atm because of my resources. It costs me in resources about 60-65K to build a full suit. I'm still making nearly 3 times the cost of my resources and you know what? I'm selling more and more armor. And those are my UNSLICED prices. I've had a full suit of 80/80/87-90 base sell for several million to a friend. I'm also building a customer base and have several repeat customers already. Not trying to drive anyone else out of business and not out to make the most money on the server. I have FUN making armor and nearly all of the armor I make is by hand. I do make some factory runs when I get a really good piece (like a chest plate that I had 9 Amazing Successes on without using any Port). While my stuff isn't the BEST on the server....I make it affordable for the new guy. Besides...I have an alt that I can make about 500K a day in just looting bodies if I need too....

Compare the effectivness of wearing armor in combat before and after the CU. Namely what is the raw % damage reduction wearing the new armors in the CU. And then compare to readily available counter parts in the current system. (80kin/80energy composite, and 75% kin ubese, leaving out pvp since stun will be nullified in the new CU.)
Biggest problem for us crafters is that we already had a rough time grinding Master AS. To also grind some novice combat professions is not really what I am after. Furthermore I findit difficult on TC-EP3 to interchange with the other testing groups. This could dpeed up armor effectiveness testing and armor slicing testing.
All our issues seem to be soo unimportant that thoseneeded features on the frogs are still disabled. (wasn't working yesterday, have not been able to log in afterwards)
We need faction on the frogs and we need at least skill.
Second biggest point is the lack of a propper chatlog analysing tool [maybe I just wasn't able to find it - willing to learn here
]to get thedata out of combat test sequences.
Third problem I see is that shift frommaxed protection of high-end armor to loot-enhanced high-end armor. As we have no loot at our disposal we can not test this most important part.
