Thread: Why do certain types of armour just not sell ?
Mabari is the reason I started mixing what I consider cheap, ugly grinding armors. I look around to see hardly any guys wearing Mabari chests because of it's appearance on Zam in AotC & just face it, chest & helmet just look seriously girly, then most IG girls don't wear Mabari either cause the majority of them are crafters or dancers. I tried wearing the chest, I got 1 as a reward from Jabba's, I ended up putting it on my headless droid. But I do wear the pants, they go with my Chitin armor, half skirt thingy looks cool & semi-manly. I've also gut Mabari gloves & boots for my non-armored outfits.
A couple different color Chitin & Maurader chests when I have my cyberarms on, Comp chestplate when I feel like it, Chitin boots all the time(I love how these look), & now Bone pants with a brown Ubese shirt too.
I think the message here is that for these weird full suits that don't sell, break them down to pieces on your vendor, remake & restock the most popular pieces. Anyone passing by a vendor on Lok after doing 10 gurk missions in a group is bound to do that kind of impulse/whimsical shopping. There's money to be made all around. Besides, we need more armor vendor to stock seperate pieces, no one wants to buy a whole suit just to replace the chest they destroyed using a 97% armor repair kit.
Every once in awhile I make afew suits of Orange Mabari. Sales very fast. Once I get a decent avain bone I will make small runs of Orangeor White tantel.
Ionce made a run of Cheap (unlayered, uncaped) Chitlin. That stuf would not get off my vendor. I will try the above sujestion. Charge more

I actually have my alt wearingorange Mabari now.
It used to be that pinkish-purple color, but orange looked cooler.
i read the thread title, and i already had the answer... lol
cause most of it is ugly....
i dont care what any one says looks>stats, i would rather die looking good, then die and be ugly to boot :rofl:

That doesn't explain why they use ubese though does it. If they care that much they will use tantel, since it is the only recon with 7 armored pieces.
