appearance materials only count towards condition. They can make about a 10k difference in condition if you use really crappy compared to really good, however they are all fairly generic and if you have materials to craft cores you should have materials to craft their respective appearances.

I just have a simple question; I have some resources stokcpiled, and ran some factories of cores. Now, which novice armorsmith armor item is the best for grinding? Right now I'm making Mabari Armor Chestplates, but they take a helluva lot of resources. Is there anything that gives better xp? And which items do you use to grind the rest of AS?

1) Clothing and Armor Crafting Station. +45 would be a perfect station (not possible yet, I don't think). Or use a droid with a built-in station.

2) Yes, it is a smith with +20 or more to armor experimentation from CAs. You get 12 experimentation points instead of 10.

3) Spend some time browsing the posts in this forum. This thread is on the front page (at the moment):

4) Wearables Factory

5) Clothing and Armor Crafting Tool. 15.00 is a perfect tool. It is possible to make these.

6) Not really

Nothing beyond +20 will give you any more experimentation points. Getting to +30 won't make you a 13-point smith, for example. +25 is the cap for experimentation bonuses (although your skill sheet will show whatever mods you have. My standard kit is +27) and there seems to be some benefit to getting to +25 (experimentation failures are extremely rare for me) but there's not really any proof of concrete benefits.

and now days 12 point smith only really helps on PSGs and increasing condition. A lot of armor components (and especially the appearance part) don't use even all 10 of your points 'cause they only have one line to experiment on.

Nice guide, looking at the shopping list, are any of those Resource named resource or is it just Polymer..or Fiberplast?

Just polymer. And there are specific uses for gravitonic, Dathomir, Corellia, and Naboo fiberplast, but those and any other fiberplast can be used in recon segments.
