I put in a ticket. Someone gave me their segs to recraft and had the broken seg bug.
This is an issue that def needs to be addressed- there is now way for a player to know this.

I agree, it needs to be addressed and fixed. I was killed once with the segemnts in my inventory, and now they can't be used.

I have so far dismantled 11 pieces of RIS Armour to get the segments back. This evening I went to use them to craft with and only 7 of them were useable. The other 4 gave me the message "this components is too damaged to use in the crafting process". I also noticed that all 4 unusable segments had the (i) symbol as if they were insured, where as the other 7 did not.
Is this some kind of bug, a deliberate thing with dismantling RIS segments (not 100% chance?) or something else that is intended (maybe they get 'damaged' on death, even tho they give no sign of it - and yes, I have died probably with them in my inventory, I am a crafter after all heh)?
Just wanted to bump this up since this is still a huge problem and CSRs have refused to help me with my broken segments.
Tried using an armor repair tool on my broken RIS segments, but it tells me the damage is too much to be repair, even for someone with my skills.
Basically, I've got 10 useless RIS armor segments and the CSRs refuse to do anything about it.

Have you tried using an Armor Repair Tool on them? It works for me with "damaged" looted cores.

Hey Naia!
Yeah, I tried that. "Ris Armor Segment's condition is to low to be repaired."

Hmmm... I'm a master armorsmith and i'm not given the option to "disassemble" the armor at all. Only to slice, equip, drop, examine, and destroy. I'am I missing something? Let me know what im doing wrong.
