It does have a serial number, and it was looted before CU, so it didn't come from a stack.

I did the quest yesterday on Corbantis. No problesms. All preCU loots on an alt-toon.

All seriel'd loot drops.

On the last one, the one with the "1" by it, drop it on the floor of your house then pick it back up. It will work then.

grrr.... I'll try again. Maybe the server reset will let them go in.

Turns out this was my bad... I was trying to use one without a serial number on it. Thought it had one, but it turns out that's not the case.
