Will it provide better protections using RIS layers instead of regular ones. Sorry for my Noobish question I am only half way to Master armorsmith. Should be finished in a couple days though.

yeah i made some ris layers and used it in composite. 3% base with -4/-4/-4 enc. combined that with janta hide(3% base) and 2 3% base ns layers to make a 70% base comp helm. mind enc was 252 before slicing

High quality NS layers are easier to get and usually cheaper, so thats usually the best option.
