Thread: BH armor question
i have a pretty nice suit of composite, sliced by a master smuggler, and im still having a hard time wearing it.
my stats have been migrated to the point where i have 800 for each primary stat, and the rest pretty much balanced among the secondary stats, and even with tat sunburst i still have a hard time with specials.
should i just resign myself to the fact that i can only wear armor during the 6min up time of neutron pixie? do you think reducing my primary stats to 700 might make my scatter pistol hurt my foe less than myself? is there some food that i dont know about which buffs stats to the extreme that tat sunburst does?
any advice would be welcome. basically, i really like the way this composite looks on me, and im willing to try just about anything (within reason) to get it to work properly.
This is my armor setup, I don't get hit for too much and I am not too encumbered.
50-60% Composite Helm, Boots, Gloves, and Biceps
Top qualityBone Armor Leggings, Chestplate, and Bracers (all high energy resists, like 32-33, with 20-30 on the rest, besides like 2-3 types - forget which ones)
Personal shield generator - highest I can get my hands on 
Looks kind of cool actually, and unique at least. Works well without any problems wearing it. (Zabrak)
Also, my stat migration looks like this: (High willpower because I'm Zabrak and I rely on stims to stay live)

my armor is 56% to all resists (67% electricity), with a 60% heat resist to a few pieces. i think the HAM cost to wear it is around 400 for every secondary stat. its actually pretty good armor, i just miss having the action costs i use to have when i wasnt wearing it.
im having a hard time finding master chefs on my server. hopefully ill get lucky

If your secondary stats aren't set up to wear a full suit of composite, you shouldat least try to wear the helm, chest, legs, and boots. You'll see that your arms and hands do get hit a lot but it's better than standing around asking to be hit hard.
You do have enough points altogether to wear a good composite suit that isn't all encumbrance sliced. Your max on health, action, and mind just won't be really high.
I'm still running around without the arms and gloves, but after tonight I think I'll look at the stat migration so I can.
True, but the problem with armor is that it takes forever to heal and your specials are limited. If your HAM's are really low(from using specials)doesn't matter what armor your wearingone decent hitand your gonna die. Wearing no armor lets your HAM's heal quicker and letsuse more specials thus giving you a better chance to takeyour targetsdown.
Sigil was out of everything as of last night so I was quite bummed since I am running low on Breath. Hopefully, he will restock soon.

You make a macro to switch from clothes to armor and armor to clothes. The only time I'm out of my armor now is to heal my mind or if I'm healing others. I'm a 4/0/0/0 medic so using specials during combat isn't a big deal for me.
Typically when fighting a mark I use Torso Shot, Health Shot 1, Eye Shot, Fire Knockdown, and Confusion Shot. I use these speicals 1 time each (I'll use Torso more than once if it missed). The rest of my damage comes from normal attacks with my LLC. I find this takes health and minddown only a little and action by nearly half. Usually after I switch to the LLC I'll hit a stim-b to top me off for the rest of the fight.
This method has worked for me for about 200 missions now. I won't do a mission without armor any more, it's saving my butt on a regular basis.
I had the foresight to buy 6 crates of ryshcate. But I'm now down to half a crate of breath of heaven. And I'm also downto my last few sips of Angerian Fishak Surprise (+400mind,-80action).
Plus, Bodak's vendors are empty, Boltarus only carriessunburns, and now Sigil is out? Chaos!

Back on topic: Yes, armor can hurt you if you don't know how to use it, so its not something you just throw on. Thats why food and stims allow you to have all the good effects from armor and none of the bad.
the ubese is ALOT lighter on the HAM and still offers very good protection
its still light armour so offers an initial 50% resist and doesnt screw my HAM bars like composite
I run around with a full suit of sliced composite armor (50%, best on my server). I'm Zabrak so my secondaries are pitiful, but I still manage to put it on buffless:
950/400/400 - 950/400/400 - 750/450/700
I also wear a 38%/23% PSG (best on my server, and buy these in crates because they dont last long)
I buff myself not only with Breath of Heaven, which is a drink that can only be drank once...
...but ALSO with ryshcate which is a +350/300s enahancement to secondary drain attributes. The bonus is that you can eat 2 at a time. Thats right...I walk around with 1200+ secondary drains in a full suit of composite armor. I use whatever special I want, HAM cost is not a deterrence.
I quick-button my ryshcate and find I can eat WHILE fightingvery close to the time one of them runs out. IF you are on sunrunner, run to Sigil's vendor in the Horizon store, he has crates of this stuff.
I used to be a tat sunburn fan, but as fast as we fire our specials, the acton regen just can't keep up. Plus drinking multiple really weakens theminddrain and I am far too stim-reliant.
With this setup, you're pretty much a walking tank that can spam some awesome carbine and LLC specials.
I augment the above occasionally with spice for especially tough encounters, but I rarely need it.
I did nearly the entire Aakuan cave on Talus solo (and no pet)with this setup.

Cost? Here's what I paid for the above components (note this may be server specific)
Full Compo Suit - 225k (custom for low encumberance)
Slicing - 30k
Random composite pieces - 60k (due to random effectiveness slicing)
PSGs - 100k/crate of 20
Breath of Heaven - 15k/crate of 25 with 8 uses each
Ryshcate - 15k/crate of 25 with 13 uses each
I know this armor can be loot now.
But I want to know is "When the deathwatch dungeon will be online, did the BH armor will be lootable only orwill be craftable by armorsmith ?"
